Man With Bone To Pick Arrested With Deadly Weapon

Fairfax man is busted after waving what was thought to be an axe over his head at a rival in downtown.

Since there isn't a large, rocky hill in downtown Fairfax, people were wondering when a man raised a rock pick in the air Saturday evening.

Augustine Garcia was arrested on March 31 at 6 p.m. for exhibiting a deadly weapon.

Garcia spotted a person in downtown Fairfax with whom he reportedly has an ongoing argument. While still 60 feet from each other, Garcia grabbed a rock pick from his backpack and raised it over his head "in a threatening manner," according to Fairfax Police.

The rock pick was first reported to be an axe by witnesses.

Garcia is being held on $3,000 bail
