Novato Man Arrested at San Anselmo DUI Checkpoint

Police found that Novato resident William Henry Dunger had a warrant for his arrest for unlawfully carrying dangerous weapons.

Ross police arrested a Novato man at a DUI checkpoint Saturday night after discovering he had a warrant out for his arrest, according to Officer Ken Nicholas.

William Henry Dunger, 26, was booked in Marin County Jail Aug. 27 on a charges of unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon. His bail is set at $350,000.

Dunger was arrested at a DUI checkpoint that was operating between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Red Hill Avenue, heading in to San Anselmo, Nicholas said.

Officers stopped Dunger’s white Ford pickup at approximately 8 p.m. They found he did not have a valid driver’s license and that he had a warrant out for his arrest from San Bernardino Valley for unlawfully carrying weapons.
