Pedestrian Hospitalized after Novato Collision with Vehicle

The 19-year-old accident victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A 19-year-old pedestrian was injured when he was struck by a vehicle in Novato Saturday evening, police said.

Officers received calls reporting a collision involving a pedestrian in the 7300 block of Redwood Boulevard.

Police responded to the scene and assisted the pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle while he was crossing Redwood Boulevard.

The driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound on Redwood Boulevard.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital for injuries to his upper body that are not considered life-threatening.

The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation and police said that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the collision.
