Police: Cats Missing, Drunken Teens, Photos of Cyclists

Monday, Feb. 6

Noise: Two men were loitering and being loud on Park Road at 12:10 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man and woman were heard screaming on Tamalpais Road at 1:26 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: There was an unoccupied car idling on Iron Springs Road at 5:55 a.m.

Citizen Assist: A resident wanted an officer to stop by St. Rita’s and examine some suspicious pills found at the base of a candle.

Welfare Check: A disoriented woman was at the Bank of America very upset and claiming someone broke into her car at 11:08 a.m.

Animal: At least five cats were missing recently on Cascade Drive.  They’re not the woman’s cats, but one’s she is familiar with seeing and has seen lost cat posters. There have been lots of coyote sounds lately and she wanted it noted that coyotes may be attacking cats.

With Subjects: An advisement was served to a subject to stay away from Canon Village.

Welfare Check: A disoriented woman was walking in the middle of the road on Bolinas Road at 4:58 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

Animal: Two dogs were running off leash in the tennis courts on Peri Park at 12:46 p.m. The woman has been warned about the leash law twice before.

Sleeper: An email request was received from a resident that a homeless man has been sleeping in the parking lot on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. He sleeps by the trash cans a lot and several neighbors have expressed concerns over this man’s presence.

Citizen Assist: A resident wanted to document a disturbance that happened late last summer.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident received a suspicious email that she knew was a scam.

Miscellaneous Service: The lights on the pedestrian crosswalk by the post office have been broken for months.

Barking Dog: Dogs were barking at 6:30 p.m. since early afternoon at Marin Alliance. The night before they were crying. People were yelling out their windows for the dogs to be quiet.

Animal: Two pitbulls were running loose on Scenic Road at 9:22 p.m.

Noise: People were talking loudly at 7-11 at 11:51 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

Town Code Violation: A resident was sent an email with a series of photographs of cyclists riding on the sidewalk and one was talking on the cell phone while biking. The resident wants more enforcement.

Theft: An evicted tenant has come to the complex on Frustuck Avenue repeatedly in the last few weeks and stole items from a resident’s apartment.

Disturbance: A resident wanted to report harassment by the father of her child at Good Earth.

Public Intoxication: Two boys around 11- or 12-years-old appeared drunk on Merwin Avenue at 3:34 p.m. An arrest was made.

Theft: A rear plate from a resident’s car was stolen at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments.

Sleeper: A man and woman have been sleeping in the elevator at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments and in the alcove on the first floor.

Fraud: Numerous charges have been made against a resident’s debit card.

Thursday, Feb. 9

Suspicious Circumstances: Rocks were coming down on Park Road at 2:31 a.m. It was unknown if someone was on the roof.

Abandoned Vehicles: A Winnebago was parked for a long time without moving and a green wooden trailer with flat tires hasn’t moved either at Belmont and Kent Avenues.

Noise: A live band was practicing loudly on School Street at 10:17 p.m. This is an ongoing issue.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Fairfax Library at 11:04 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 10

Found: A resident brought in a bike he found in Fairfax Park by the creek.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:20 a.m.

Sleeper: An officer initiated activity on Bolinas Road at 2:50 a.m. and a sleeper was warned.

Theft: A resident wanted to report a theft of his bike from the rack at Gestalt Haus.

Assist Outside Agency: Sheriff’s Office requested the police be on the lookout for a dirt bike coming out of the open space on Glen Drive.

Warrant Criminal: A subject was arrested and booked into the county jail on outstanding warrants at 11:16 a.m.

Harassing Phone Calls: A resident received numerous unwanted solicitation calls and wanted to speak to an officer about it.

Citizen Assist: A resident requested that the lights on the tennis court be turned off at 6:42 p.m.

Hit and Run: A resident reported a hit and run to his car at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Claus Drive around 10 p.m.

Juveniles: There was a group of teenagers creating a commotion on Porteous Avenue at 10:49 p.m. One in the middle of the road was blocking cars from continuing.

Probation Violation: A loud group of subjects were at the ball field. One was cited for being in violation of his probation terms.

Disturbance: A loud group of men were possibly fighting and possibly intoxicated on Taylor Drive at 11:43 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 11

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity at the Parkade at 12:53 a.m. and a subject was arrested and booked into the county jail for public intoxication.

Noise: An upstairs neighbor on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard was making a lot of noise at 2:58 a.m.

Fire: A large amount of smoke was coming from a neighbor’s chimney on Lansdale Avenue at 3:12 p.m.

Noise: Two males and two females were talking very loudly on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:28 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 12

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity on Broadway Avenue at 12:30 a.m. and a subject was arrested and booked into the count jail for public intoxication.

Insanity Case: A person was threatening suicide on Canyon Road at 3:44 a.m. The subject was contacted and voluntarily transported to Unit B.

Traffic Complaint: Two cars were racing on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:03 p.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity with an occupied car at White Hill Middle School.

Disturbance: Subjects were involved in an argument at the Shady Brooks Apartments at 7:54 p.m.
