Police: Dog Missing, Husband Watching Movie

Friday, Jan. 27

Burglary: A resident saw a man go inside The Potting Shed at 2 a.m.

Trespassing: A small motorized vehicle was riding around White Hill with a headlight at 4:50 a.m.

Noise: A truck was idling in the front of Fairfax Lumber and Hardware at 6:23 a.m.

Traffic: Tamalpais Road was closed, causing a traffic hazard, at 10:42 a.m.

Burglary: Sometime the night before, someone forcibly entered a storage shed at St. Rita’s, but nothing was taken.

Burglary: An officer initiated activity at the Women’s Club, where there was a burglary the night before.

Attempt to Contact: A resident wanted to speak with an officer about a subject coming into her business and harassing her and other employees.

Miscellaneous Service: It looked like someone had dumped something soapy into the creek behind Manor School.

Noise: Officers attempted to locate some people, who had heard yelling in the area of Sherwood Oaks at 7:31 p.m.

Animal: A resident’s dog was missing on Cascade Drive. The dog is a black rotweiler named “Smokey.”

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman was in front of a residence on Valley Road screaming “burning” at 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 28

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity at the Fairfax Theater at 1:06 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men were holding what appeared to be a rifle with a scope on Spruce Road at 10:53 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: A motorcycle has been parked for three weeks on Manor Road. The resident is concerned it might have been stolen.

Noise: There was amplified music at the Women’s Club at 4:10 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: A resident saw a driver scrape another car while attempting to parallel park on Bolinas Road at 5:06 p.m. The drive got out and examined both cars, which were damaged, but then left the scene. The driver appeared impaired. Officers located the driver and arrested him for DUI and Hit and Run.

Runaway: A resident wanted officers to check an address on Meernaa Avenue for her son who left home in the morning without permission. Officers located the son and brought him to the police station.

Missing Person: A resident reported that her husband dropped her and her granddaughter off at the theater and was going to park the car. That was over an hour earlier. The search was cancelled; the husband had been in the theater watching a movie and came out after it ended.

Noise: There was loud noise coming from a town-sanctioned event at the Women’s Club at 8:03 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: There was an erratic driver on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:14 p.m.

Noise: The noise at the Women’s Club has been getting worse after 10 p.m. The parties agreed to close the doors and windows.

Juveniles: A group of high school boys were being abusive to people at Fair-Anselm; They were name-calling people based on sexual orientation at 8:30 p.m. They then became threatening and aggressive. When the resident’s friend started to take pictures, a few of the boys ran away.

Sunday, Jan. 28

Animal: A squirrel was choking on a piece of string in its mouth on Manor Road at 8:18 a.m. Humane was called.

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious male juvenile walking up Oak Tree Lane checking his phone at 2:55 p.m. Officer determined he was trying to find cell service.

Insanity Case: A man was behaving strangely in the Fairfax Market at 8:26 p.m. Officers responded and transported the subject to Marin General.
