Sunday, Jan. 29

Suspicious Circumstances: A residence on Crescent Road was toilet papered, but there were no signs of permanent vandalism.

Disturbing the Peace: There was loud music on Ross Avenue at 3:11 a.m.

Burglary: A laptop was stolen on Alder Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances: An officer was flagged down regarding two suspicious subjects on Bolinas Avenue at 8:36 p.m. Contact was made with two females, who were possibly under the influence. They were medically checked and taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: A resident advised her nephew was cut with a knife by a subject and needed medical attention on Center Boulevard at 11:39 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 28

Juvenile: A resident reported that a juvenile threw eggs at a car in the area of San Anselmo Avenue and Fern Lane at 12:54 a.m. The driver got out of his car and was chasing the juvenile. Officers contacted one juvenile in the area, who was determined to be in possession of alcohol and was cited and released to his parents.

Suspicious Circumstances: The Fairfax Police had two residents come in around 2:25 a.m. and report that a cone was places at the intersection of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and San Francisco Avenue and when the resident stopped, objects were thrown at their car.

Animal: A dog was locked in a car, barking frantically, on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:32 a.m. and the car had ice on the windows as if it had been there all night. Officers located the car and the dog was not in distress.

Vandalism: A resident heard a noise outside his house on San Anselmo Avenue around 4:15 a.m. and when he looked out later he discovered a few eggs had been thrown against the house.

Vandalism: A wrench was thrown through the upstairs window of a house on San Anselmo Avenue sometime between 3 and 10 a.m.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles was contacted on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:25 p.m. All was in order.

Animal: It sounded like coyotes were making a kill in the area of Santa Barbara Aveune and Durham Road at 11:07 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 27

Hazard: A large oak tree fell and was blocking the road on Humboldt Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances: A young child was crying outside a residence on Laurel Avenue at 8:43 a.m. Officers found the child was on an “outside time-out.”

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported that her child’s father pushed her and took personal items on Forbes Avenue and then drove away.

Possession of Marijuana: A juvenile was in possession of marijuana on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:10 a.m. A citation was issued.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a window with damage to it at a residence on Red Hill Avenue as if someone attempted to break-in. Officers found no sign of forced entry.

Juveniles: There were multiple juveniles smoking marijuana on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:32 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two residents reported a subject crossed all four lanes of traffic on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard on foot and had an unsteady gait. The subject was located and it was determined when he was driving and had swerved to avoid an obstruction his tire popped.
