Police: Man Beating Pay Phone, Dog Missing

Monday, Feb. 13

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the parking lot on Center Boulevard at 2:08 a.m.

Disturbance: A taxi driver requested assistance in a fare dispute at Broadway and Bolinas at 3:36 a.m.

Welfare Check: An elderly woman with a pushcart appeared confused and disoriented at Scenic Road and Azalea Avenue at 5:57 a.m.

Abandoned Vehicle: A boat on a trailer has been parked at Doc Edgar Park for four days.

Vandalism: A man was beating the pay phone outside the 7-11 at 1:18 p.m. Officers determined he had lost money in the phone and was trying to get it back.

Noise: A resident complained about the constant humming sound coming from the Top Hat Cleaners, but then called back to cancel because the noise had stopped.

Animal: A dog ran away on Forrest Avenue around 2 p.m., but was at the Humane Society safe and sound.

Disturbance: There was a verbal argument between two subjects at The Sleeping lady at 7:52 p.m. An arrest was made.

Welfare Check: A resident requested a welfare check on her sister at the library.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

Noise: The equipment at the Top Hat Cleaners was making noise and a resident wanted a reading taken.

Found: A folio full of papers was found at the Parkade and brought in.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for 45 minutes on Spruce Road.

Barking Dog: There were two dogs barking on Spruce Road for over an hour at 9:22 p.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: A passenger door was open on a car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:23 p.m.

Disturbance: A resident had a dispute with her boyfriend on Hillside Drive at 11:53 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

Citizen Assist: A resident reported that a subject with an outstanding warrant was in front of her residence on Willow Avenue around 5:45 a.m.

Driving on a Suspended License: An officer initiated activity on Broadway Avenue at 8:11 a.m. and a citation was issued.

Warrant Criminal: A resident called the San Anselmo Police, who transferred the call, to report that a man with a restraining order against him was outside his residence on Willow Avenue at 9:23 a.m. Officers determined the man did not have a restraining order, but did have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Suspicious Circumstances: A caregiver reported that ten harassing phone calls came in asking for an elderly resident. The caregiver suspects elder abuse is going on.

Burglary: There was a break-in on Willow Avenue and numerous items were stolen or damaged.

Hit and Run: A parked car was hit on Frustuck Avenue around 9 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious person at the Fairfax Market the day before. An officer will check back if they return.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Sequoia Road for an hour and a half.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for an hour near the post office.

Suspicious Person: A suspicious man walked by on Valley Road, pulling branches, at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 16

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity with a suspicious car at the post office at 1:17 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity with a suspicious car at the Fairfax Coin Car Wash at 1:34 a.m.

Parking Complaint: A mini motor home was parked in the middle of the road on Ridge Road, preventing the garbage truck from getting by.

Town Code Violation: A man appeared to be drinking on the tennis courts.

Animal: A resident’s dog on Spruce Road went missing four days earlier.

Suspicious Circumstances: A car was in front of a residence on Dominga Avenue with all the doors open and the engine running at 5:02 p.m.
