Police in Marin pulled over 99 drivers last weekend during countywide DUI patrols, arresting four for driving under the influence of alcohol. One of those was in Fairfax.
The county’s DUI taskforce “Avoid the Marin 13” searched for impaired drivers via saturation patrols during St. Patrick’s weekend, March 15-17.
Officers administered 11 field sobriety tests during the crackdown. The San Rafael Police netted two DUI arrests and the Novato Police and Fairfax Police each made one DUI arrest.
Last year, officers made four DUI arrests during saturation patrols on St. Patrick’s Day.
Police also issued seven moving violations, arrested one driver with a suspended license and cited 12 unlicensed drivers.
