Police: Really Nice Bike Stolen; Wife Home Late from Trip to Novato

The following was reported by the Fairfax Police Department. Arrest does not indicate conviction.

Friday, Mar. 23

10:02 a.m. FOUND PROPERTY
A resident of Iron Springs Road says that a homeless woman placed her belongs in the area between two addresses last Friday and has not recovered them.

12:38 p.m. THEFT
St. Ritas School on Marinda Drive reported the theft of a laptop from the school sometime overnight.

5:14 p.m. TOWN CODE VIOLATION
Three large metal gates were left on the side of the road between Holly and Scenic road. In addition a large debris pile has been left.

7:33 p.m.  THEFT
A man reports that a bicycle was stolen from the back of his vehicle within the last 30 minutes on Bolinas Road.  The bike was locked to a rack on the vehicle. It is described as a Trek Valencia Ride+, men’s 27 speed road commute bike.  The bicycle is black, has front and rear fenders, a headlight, a tailight and flat handlebars and an electric assist.

9:13 p.m. PROWLER
A man in a backyard on Creek Road took off running when the resident spoke to him.  It was later determined that he was an acquaintance of one member of the family.

Saturday, Mar. 24

3:23 p.m. NOISE COMPLAINT
A person reported that a percussion group has been drumming for an hour at the Youth Center on Park Road. The reporting party states that the noise is repetitive and annoying.

7:16 p.m.  VANDALISM
A woman reports that an unknown person has scratched her vehicle across the entire length of the passenger side.  The vehicle was last seen undamaged two hours prior.

Sunday, Mar. 26

12:06 a.m. OVERDUE SUBJECT
A man on Porteous Avenue is worried because his wife has not returned home from a concert in Novato that should have ended some time ago. He is concerned something may have happened to her and/or her friend. The subjects were located and are fine. The husband was notified.

2:59 a.m. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
Three men wearing black were reported walking back and forth and talking on Mono Avenue. The reporting party feels this is odd given the hour.

2:15 p.m. TOWN CODE VIOLATION
A resident of Chester Avenue has been dumping trash in the street in front of her property. An anonymous person saw her do it. Officer found that nobody was home.

2:38 p.m. THEFT
Victim reported that items were taken from her vehicle the weekend of March 17. It may be associated with a rash of thefts from that same weekend.
