Police Release Photos of San Rafael Bank Robber

The San Rafael Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a San Rafael bank on Jan. 4.

San Rafael police released photos of a suspect who robbed the Westamerica Bank on 1177 Francisco Blvd. earlier this month.

On Jan. 4 at 5:12 p.m. according to police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher. He fled on foot after receiving the cash.

"No weapon was seen or mentioned," Rohrbacher said.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet 1 inch, 160 to 200 pounds with a muscular build. He was unshaven with one to two days growth of beard and wearing a black beanie, black sunglasses and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The photos with just the beanie were taken outside the bank prior to the crime and those with the hood up were taken during the robbery.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call San Rafael Police at (415) 485-3000 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222.8477. Callers can remain anonymous. Tips can be made online at www.bayareacrimestoppers.org.

This is the second burglary in San Rafael in the past month. On Dec. 22,  police arrested 37-year-old Jeremiah Clyde Martin on suspicion of robbing the Citibank at 666 Third Street two days before.

To a degree, I applaud anyone taking some $ back from the Legitimate Rapist Bankers and thugs which have gutted the world economy, and had zip consequences beyond a slap on the wrist. It is unfortunate for the tellers, customers and employees, and not a good thing in general, and as a question, how do we take the world back from corporate control and insanity? I personally would prefer to leave a planet worth living on, or even able to sustain life, for anything's future, including, but not limited to humans.
How do we end the endless wars, and why do we go along with insane windbag politicians? Lets change our world, with every waking $ folks. Likely nobody will read this, or care, beyond a warm bed, dinner, and gas for your car as we drive on buy. These bank robbers are not quite Robin Hoods, and perhaps it is time for us to take the world back, while we still can?

I went to the Smashburger in Novato & have to say that it was a disappointing experience. TheRead More burger was very mediocore & the onion rings were awful-very greasy. The staff were not friendly & operated with a "Bambi in the headlights" look about them. I do wish Smasburger luck in their locations. However, from my perspective there is a good deal of work that still needs to be done with the food, staff & service. At this time, "In & Out" Burger is a "hand's down favorite...thanks
