Police: Screams in the Night, Suspicious Vehicles and Mad Neighbors

The following was reported by the San Anselmo Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

The following is a selection of calls made to the from April 6 to April 8. The full reports can be found on the department's website.

Sunday, Apr. 8

12:08 a.m. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
A resident of Cordone Avenue reported she was taking out her trash and heard a lot of rushing water. She located a broken sprinkler head at her neighbor's house but couldn't contact anyone there. She found an unsecured side door, but found something was blocking it. Officers responded and cleared the house. A neighbor was contacted and it was determined it was an oversight only.

1:01 p.m. DISTURBING THE PEACE
A resident of Red Hill Avenue reported she was involved in a verbal altercation with a neighbor. An officer responded and mediated between both parties.

1:09 p.m. ANIMAL COMPLAINT
A resident on Kensington reported a bee swarm was in the area. A beekeeper was advised and would handle the situation.

4:49 p.m. DISTURBING THE PEACE
An anonymous caller reported a man and woman physically fighting and breaking things in the back of the property on Ross Avenue. Officers contacted both subjects and found no merit to any physical fighting. Both were counseled and advised of the complaint.

Saturday, Apr. 7

11:14 a.m. ANY CIVIL PROBLEM
A resident on Laurel Avenue requested advice regarding a neighbor dispute. Officer provided information.

12:09 p.m. LOST PROPERTY A woman reported she lost her wallet on Tunstead Avenue and wanted it documented in the case anyone turned it in.

12:15 p.m. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
A resident of Humboldt Avenue reported they discovered a screen door was pulled back but advised it could have happened anytime during the past week. Officer contacted the resident and found the door sustained minimal damage, and no entry was made.

1:14 p.m. VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A citizen reported 2 vehicles were parked on Santa Barbara Avenue at Durham Road and taking up all of the parking space. Officer advised the citizen that he was aware of the vehicles and they were legally parked with sufficient clearance.

4:40 p.m. CITIZEN ASSIST
An officer was flagged down by a citizen on Tunstead Avenue requesting assistance with a vehicle lock out. The officer was able to assist the citizen with disengaging "The Club" locking device.

9:30 p.m. MUNI CODE VIOLATION
An officer attempted to contact juveniles setting off fireworks on Kensington Road. They fled once they saw the officer. Debris was discarded.

Friday, Apr. 6

2:21 a.m. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
A resident of Hillside Avenue reported he heard someone scream loudly in the area. The officer located an adult party in the area and contact was made with the person responsible. There was determined to be no emergency.

11:29 a.m. CITIZEN ASSIST
A woman reported her daughter was overdue in returning home and it was very unlike her. While at the station, the woman made contact with her daughter who was at home.

6:00 p.m. SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
A resident of Tomahawk Drive reported a vehicle was parked approximately 15 minutes fronting her residence with two male subjects sitting inside. Officers responded and the vehicle was gone on arrival.

6:15 p.m. PETTY THEFT
A resident of Yolanda Drive reported the theft of his weed eater from his front porch. Officer responded and a report was taken.

8:39 p.m. SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
A resident of Greenfield Avenue reported a vehicle has been parked fronting her residence since this morning and the windows are all down. Officer responded and determined the vehicle belonged to the neighbor and all appeared to be in order.
