Police: Woman Wants to Use Credit Card, DUIs

Sunday, Feb. 26

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported the night before a woman approached her and said her wallet was lost or stolen and she couldn’t get a hotel room without a credit card. She offered the resident cash if she could use her credit card. The resident thought it was suspicious and she was in the area hours later still trying to flag down cars.

Fraud: There were fraudulent charges on a resident’s credit card.

Hit and Run: A large white truck hit a stop sign at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Red Hill Avenue at 5:27 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake and San Francisco Boulevards a woman was determined to be driving under the influence at 8:41 p.m. She was arrested and booked into the county jail for DUI and for possession of a syringe.

Saturday, Feb. 25

Disturbing the Peace: Two male subjects were arguing on Ross Avenue at 1:28 a.m.

Civil Problem: A resident reported that a motorist punched a passenger in another car and then left the area. The victim was contacted and knew the other party. It was determined to be verbal only.

Unwanted Subject: A woman kept coming in to a business on San Anselmo Avenue and saying she knew patrons inside. Officers found she was a transient from out of the area.

Noise: Five motorcycles and other cars were leaving loudly on Tunstead Avenue at 9:49 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A woman waved down two different residents on San Anselmo Avenue and asked them for money and also asking them to get her a hotel room.

Friday, Feb. 24

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported two subjects were having a verbal altercation on San Anslemo Avenue at 8:56 a.m.

Animal: Three coyotes were attacking a dog on Oak Springs Drive.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Broadmoor Avenue at 12:05 p.m.

Fraud: A resident reported identity theft.

Suspicious Circumstances: Three homeless encampments were in the area of Red Hill Avenue. They were found to be unoccupied.

Disturbing the Peace: An unwanted subject that a resident hadn’t seen in ten years came to the resident’s home on Bolinas Avenue at 3:42 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman appeared to be homeless and approached a resident’s children and attempted to panhandle.

Noise: Drums were being played on Sunview Avenue at 10:44 p.m.
