Push Comes to Shove For Neighbors and a Man Takes a Rest in the Road

The Fairfax police log for Oct. 11-14 includes a girl who tripped and was subsequently hit by a cyclist.

 

Sunday, Oct. 14 

Vehicle vs. bicyclist: 10:20 a.m. Drake Manor Apartments on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. RP advised of a vehicle vs. bicycle accident.

Assault: 4:28 p.m. Creek Road. RP [reporting person] said her neighbor just pushed her and threw yard waste at her after they had a verbal argument. RP is now safe at her home. Officer responded and contacted both parties, who declined to press any charges. Both parties were given advice.

Probation violation: 5:34 p.m. Rudy Contratti Field on Bank Street. A white male adult wearing a white baseball hat and a black sweat suit is sitting on the benches near the dugout talking to himself. RP also noticed the subject has a hatchet type knife sticking out of his back pocket. Officers responded and contacted the subject, who was cited and released at the scene on a probation violation.

Saturday, Oct. 13

Public intoxication: 5:19 a.m. Bolinas Road. Report of a man laying on his back in the middle of the roadway.

Vandalism: 11:34 a.m. Fairfax Soap & Suds on Broadway. RP’s wall was tagged sometime last night.

Threatened to kill: 2:03 p.m. 19 Broadway. Subject’s old friend threatened to kill him last Monday. He is requesting to speak with an officer.

Theft: 3:49 p.m. Deer Park Villa on Bolinas Road. Coat and tie were stolen from RP on Friday, Oct. 5.

 

Friday, Oct. 12

Juvenile problem: 6:22 p.m. Meadow Way. RP and his son got into a verbal argument over grades at school. The son left the residence five minutes ago. The RP would like his son back and to speak with an officer.

Deer: 10:06 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. A deer was just hit by a car and is dragging itself into the gas station. Humane Society responded and handled the matter.

Vehicle accident: 2:25 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Kent Avenue. Three-car accident, no injuries. Unclear which jurisdiction. Collision was determined to be outside of town limits.

 

Thursday, Oct. 11 

Hit-and-run: 12:29 p.m. Ridge Road. RP’s mail box was struck sometime this morning. RP believes it was the garbage truck.

Danger to self or others: 6:50 p.m. Forrest Avenue. Subject physically assaulted his father.

Hit-and-run: 8:58 p.m. Bolinas Road and Elsie. RP’s daughter tripped on the sidewalk and then was hit by a bicyclist. Bicyclist did not leave his name or information. Daughter was injured and required hospital examination and treatment.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 10

Found bike: 12:10 p.m. Sorella Caffe on Bolinas Road. RP said a bicycle was abandoned behind the restaurant on Monday.

Suspicious circumstances: 8:29 p.m. Iron Springs Pub & Brewery on Center Blvd. RP said he found what looks like pry marks on the back door. He does not know how recent they are and thinks it’s possible they are connected to a recent alarm activation.
