A 27-year-old man suspected of robbing an eyewear store he used to work at in San Anselmo was arrested by police Friday night, according to the Police Department.
At about 7 p.m., officers responded to a tripped burglar alarm at Sunglass City, located at 623 San Anselmo Ave., where the burglar had forced entry to the business, activating the alarm.
Upon assessing the aftermath, store representatives determined that the burglar had made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Video surveillance footage led police to arrest Nicolas Pierre Josephs, of San Anselmo, on suspicion of burglary. Josephs was identified by Sunglass City representatives as a former employee of the store, according to Cpl. Sethi Jervan.
Josephs was taken into custody without incident at his home, and he was booked at Marin County Jail. He posted bail and is set to appear in Marin County Superior Court to enter a plea on March 1.
