San Anselmo Police: Alcohol Stolen, Man Not Taking Photos of Kids

Thursday, May 12

Hit and Run: There was a hit and run collision at Foss and Sunnyside Avenues at 5:16 p.m.

Accident – No Injury: There was a possible drunk driver at Sir Francis Drake Bouleavrd and Red Hill Avenue at 5:28 p.m. Officer was unable to locate the car.

Municipal Code Violation: A resident heard a leaf blower on Red Hill Avenue at 6:12 p.m.

Barking Dog: There was an anonymous report of a dog barking on Broadmoor Avenue at 7:24 p.m. Officer determined there was no merit.

Suspicious Person: A subject was lying on the ground on Shaw Drive at 8:02 p.m. Officer contacted and abated the subject.

Found Property: A briefcase was found in the bushes of a property on Brookside Drive.

Suspicious Person: A suspicious subject was report at Suffield Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:25 p.m. It was determined to be an electric employee.

Wednesday, May 11

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious person on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:33 a.m.

Found: A check was located on the ground on San Anselmo Avenue at 1:24 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Laurel Avenue at 3:37 p.m. The owner was advised of the complaint.

Juvenile: A juvenile male was skateboarding on the sidewalk on San Anselmo Avenue at 5:28 p.m.

Accident – No Injury: An officer noticed a non-injury collision at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Red Hill Avenue at 5:49 p.m.

Barking Dog: There was an anonymous report of a dog barking on Broadmoor Avenue at 6:49 p.m. Officer said it was quiet on arrival and spoke with the owner. The resident said this was not the first time there was a complaint, but it wasn’t her dog.

Animal: It sounded like dogs were barking on Crescent Road at 8:38 p.m. 

Tuesday, May 10

Animal: A dog was reported barking for two hours at 1 a.m. at Sequoia Drive and Knoll Road. There was a loose dog in the area and Humane Society was contacted.

Noise: There was a band practice session on Calumet Avenue that started at 2 a.m. and usually goes until 4:30 a.m. Officer found it quiet and the resident called back and said it started again.

Barking Dog: Officer located a dog that had been reported barking and was lost all night. It was located on Sequoia Drive.

Shoplifting: A subject took a bottle of alcohol and ran out of the door of a business on Center Boulevard at 10:38 a.m. The bottle was recovered, but the subject kept running. Officers contacted the subject and advised him if he returns to the business he will be subject to trespassing.

Suspicious Person: A resident’s daughter said that the day before a suspicious man was sitting in his car on San Anselmo Avenue and appeared to be taking photos of juveniles walking by. He was seen again on Tuesday, taking photos of passersby. Officers contacted the subject, who consented to a search of his phone and no photos of juveniles were found. He was warned.

Noise: There were people talking loudly on Crescent Road at 10:21 p.m.

Monday, May 9

Animal: A dead cat was found between San Anselmo and Saunders Avenues.

Accident – Minor Injury: There was a two-car accident, with airbag deployment, blocking the road at Sir Francis Drake and San Francisco Boulevards at 11:46 p.m.

Begging: A woman with a small boy was begging with a sign on San Anselmo Avenue at 12:41 p.m. Officers advised them of the ordinance.

Petty Theft: A resident reported that the week before her car was entered and her wallet and cell phone were taken. Since then, there has been suspicious activity on her accounts.

Noise: A resident reported her neighbor was yelling and banging on the walls on Red Hill Avenue at 8:34 p.m. Officers responded and found he was having issues with his TV remote.
