San Anselmo Police: Assault, $2,000 worth of merchandise stolen

Friday, Aug. 27

Barking Dog: There was a barking dog on Woodland Avenue at 2:20 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was an anonymous report of loud subjects in the back yard of a residence on San Rafael Avenue at 3:44 a.m.

Repossessed Vehicle: A car was repossessed on Center Boulevard at 11:33 a.m.

Vandalism: There was a report of vehicle vandalism on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:04 p.m.

Road Rage: Two men were involved in a verbal argument on San Anselmo Avenue at 3:30 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a loud group of juveniles in the area of Ross Avenue at 5:25 p.m. They were abated.

Barking Dog: There was a dog barking at a residence on Rutherford Avenue at 8:10 p.m. An officer responded and the responsible party was cited for habitual animal noise.

Driving without a License: An officer initiated activity in Sausalito at 9:30 p.m. A driver was cited and released for driving without a valid license.

Driving Under the Influence: A man in Sausalito was arrested and booked for
driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:44 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a disturbance on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:05 p.m. An officer contacted and abated the subjects.  It was determined to be mutual combat resulting from an incident earlier in the evening.

Thursday, Aug. 26

Suspicious Person: A man was yelling on Lincoln Park at 1:57 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported what she believed were subjects stealing scrap metal from a business on Red Hill Avenue at 2:08 a.m. Officers determined there was no merit.

Suspicious Person: A subject was screaming at Greenfield and Sequioa Avenues at 2:35 a.m.

Noise: There were skateboarders on Ross Avenue at 3:42 a.m.

Reckless Driver: A reckless driver was reported at Crescent Road and Sunnyside Avenue at 11:38 a.m.

Burglary: Approximately $2,000 worth of merchandize was stolen from a store on San Anselmo Avenue.

Battery: A subject was in the street on Cordone Avenue being beaten by a group of mal subjects at 5:41 p.m. Officers located the victim laying in the street with face and rib injuries. He was treated and refused transport to the hospital. Two juveniles were arrested and booked at the county jail for assault.

Petty Theft: A purse was reported stolen from a car on Yolanda Drive. But, then, the owner called back to say she had found the purse.
