San Anselmo Police: Bee Swarms, Juvenile Arrested, Group Trying to Get Into Storage Unit

Thursday, April 14

Animal: There was a large bee swarm in the area of San Anselmo Avenue at 2:28 p.m.

Barking Dog: A resident reported dogs barking all day on Pine Street.

Reckless Driving: There was an anonymous report that at 1:45 p.m., a driver didn’t stop at three stop signs.

Animal: A mountain lion was reported sighted on Redwood Road at 7:46 p.m.

Driving without a Valid License: A resident reported following a car that was traveling very slowly by United Markets on Red Hill Avenue at 9:22 p.m. Officer located and stopped the vehicle and determined the driver was driving without a valid license. He was cited and released and the car was left parked at the scene.

Wednesday, April 13 

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported suspicious activity on Luna Lane at 12:26 a.m. Officers determined there was no merit.

Accident – No Injury: There was a traffic collision on Redwood Road at 2:23 pm.

Fire: There was a sparking wire on San Francisco Boulevard at 7:22 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that he heard a subject on his porch on Woodland Avenue and chased the subject off his property at 10:10 p.m. Officers didn’t locate the car.

Found: A license plate was found in the street on San Anselmo Avenue at 11:16 p.m.

Tuesday, April 12

Vehicle Complaint: Five males were parked in front of a house on Raymond Avenue late the night before and were loitering in the area. They left behind a lot of trash.

Civil Problem: A resident reported that she believed some tenants threw out everybody’s trash on the ground and replaced it with their trash some time the night before on Magnolia Avenue. There were documents with their names on it in the trash.

Vandalism: The glass to a door on Red Hill Avenue was broken and the resident wasn’t sure if anything was stolen.

Animal: There was a swarm of bees at Mariposa and San Anselmo Avenues at 1:45 p.m.

Temporary Restraining Order: A resident turned in a copy of a TRO.

Unwanted Subject: There was an anonymous report of a subject yelling and singing very loudly on San Anselmo Avenue at 4:44 p.m. and rocking back and forth. He was abated from the area.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men from Comcast came to a resident’s door on Oak Springs Drive and said they were doing upgrades, then recommended a new cable package.

Warrant Arrest: Officers contacted a group of juveniles at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Sunnyhills Drive at 10:12 p.m. and it was determined one of the juveniles had a misdemeanor warrant. He was booked into the county juvenile hall.

Petty Theft: A customer walked out of a business on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard without paying at 9:40 p.m.

Monday, April 11

Shots Fired: A resident heard one rifle shot while in the Magnolia parking lot at 5:44 a.m.

Restraining Order Violation: A resident’s husband violated a restraining order while attending a baseball game. An officer found it wasn’t a violation.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident called regarding a dispute involving her daughter and her neighbors on Magnolia Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Officers separated the parties.

Suspicious Circumstances: A suspicious group was at a storage unit on San Anselmo Avenue and it appeared as if they were trying to gain entry at 5:16 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported there was an altercation at a residence on Magnolia Avenue, with things being thrown, at 6:35 p.m. Officers found it quiet. The male half was contacted and was upset with the living situation at the house.

Trespassing: A woman was trespassing and had locked herself in the storage shed next to a house on San Anselmo Avenue at 7:44 p.m. The subject refused to comply with officer’s commands. With the homeowner’s permission, the fire department assisted in gaining entry into the building and the police subsequently took the subject into custody. She was booked into the county jail for trespassing, obstructing a police officer, criminal threats, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shots Fired: A resident heard two loud bangs and saw two subjects walking down the street on Belle Avenue at 9:31 p.m.
