San Anselmo Police: Car drives through high school, public intoxication, juveniles steal money from another juvenile

San Anselmo Police: Aug. 30 - Sept. 1

Wednesday, Sept. 1

Public Intoxication/Protective Custody: An officer initiated activity at the Hub at 2:48 a.m. and contacted and intoxicated man in the area. He was arrested and transported to Helen Vine for detox.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Ross Avenue at 8:11 a.m. a woman was cited and released for driving without a valid license.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two subjects were in the school parking lot on Butterfield Road at 5:15 p.m., dumping items on the ground. They were contacted and abated from the area.

Public Intoxication: An officer determined a man on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard was publicly intoxicated and in violation of his probation. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Tunstead Avenue at 8:12 p.m., a man was determined to be driving without a valid license. He was cited and released and the vehicle was parked at the scene.

Tuesday, Aug. 31

Juveniles: Juveniles were skateboarding in the main parking lot on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:07 a.m. Upon arrival, an officer found the subjects leaving.

Prowler: A resident on Lincoln Park could hear something moving on her patio at 12:43 a.m. It was determined it was a deer.

Suspicious Circumstances: An officer contacted two juveniles in a vehicle that was seen driving around aimlessly around Agatha Court at 3:04 a.m. They said they were friends and had just left the city. The juvenile friend was transported home to San Rafael and the adult friend was abated from the area.

Suspicious Vehicle: A car kept pulling in and out of a driveway on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:59 a.m. Then a resident saw a man near the carport and suspected he was tampering with vehicles. Officers found the area clear and damage-free.

Suspicious Person: A subject ran through a backyard on Meadowcroft Drive at 6:39 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Meadowcroft Drive chased a teenager out of his yard around 6:30 a.m. The resident said he tried to steal a bike from under the deck.

Family Disturbance: A resident's son was preventing her from leaving the house on Hawthorne Avenue at 7:54 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A car drove through the Drake High School campus, but no one was injured and there was no property damage. The officers later acquired a license plate and were able to speak with the driver. A DMV re-evaluation will be conducted.

Solicitor: Two men were going door to door on San Francisco Boulevard saying that they had to meet 100 people.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two subjects appeared to be suspiciously watching homes and garages on Sequoia Drive at 1:22 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A man was challenging a resident to a fight on Veterans Plaza at 3:28 p.m. Officers determined he was only talking to himself.

Citizen Assist: A resident's daughter took her purse and refused to return it.

Robbery: Four male juveniles took money from another male juvenile at Memorial Park.

Petty Theft: A bike was taken from the school on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Monday, Aug. 30

Suspicious Vehicle: There were two cars in the parking lot at Drake and one of them was occupied by two subjects at 12:40 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident came into the station at 1:04 a.m. and said that she knows who is repeatedly trying to break into her house.

Disturbing the Peace: There was an aggressive man in the area of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. Officers found that there had been a verbal argument between him and another person who had left.

Juveniles: A resident was being harassed by two juveniles on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:58 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men were trying to get into a house on Vista Lane at 11:17 a.m.

Road Rage: A woman reported that a man driving cut her off and then made an illegal U-turn at San Anselmo and Tunstead Avenues. When she confronted him, he started yelling at her and threatened to hit her car.

Harassment: A resident on Allyn Avenue is being harassed by a former friend and neighbor.

Vandalism: Graffiti was found on Cedar Street.

Unwanted Subject: A subject, who had previously been abated from a business, was causing a disturbance on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:33 pm. He was advised not to return or he will be subject to arrest for trespassing.

Trespassing: There was a sleeper at the rear of a business on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:45 p.m. and one on the side of a building at 11:22 p.m.
