San Anselmo Police: Coyote, DUI, Bottle Rockets

Thursday, Aug. 18

Public Intoxication: There was an intoxicated subject at San Anselmo and Bridge Avenues at 10:13 a.m. A man was arrested and booked for public intoxication and violation of probation.

Animal: There was a possible coyote in the open space near Camino de Herrera at 11:46 a.m.

Animal: There was a dog running loose in traffic at Red Hill and Greenfield at 4:23 p.m.

Noise: There was loud music on Ross Avenue at 5:54 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported she was involved in an altercation with another resident on Butterfield Road at 11:22 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

Unwanted Subject: A resident reported a subject was going through the trashcans on Tamalpais Avenue at 12:42 a.m.

Animal: There was a dog barking on Brookside Drive at 6:58 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident heard a woman scream in the area of Buena Vista Avenue at 8:44 p.m., followed by a child screaming. Officers located nothing suspicious.

Animal: A resident heard what sounded like an animal in her bathtub on Salinas Avenue at 10:47 p.m. Officers found the bathtub empty.

Animal: A dog was howling on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:07 p.m. The dog was reunited with its owner.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported his neighbor was disturbing the peace on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:31 a.m.

Municipal Code Violation: There was a leafblower in use on Tamalpais Avenue at 1:05 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Juveniles were riding a minibike in traffic at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Sunnyhills Drive at 5:06 p.m. The juveniles denied the claim.

Suspicious Circumstances: A bottle rocket was shot into the street on Kensington Road at 9:36 p.m. and three subjects were running in the area.

Restraining Order Violation: A resident’s husband entered their home in violation of a restraining order and took a credit card on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:04 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: A resident reported an erratic driver at Greenfield and Spring Grove Avenues at 10:45 p.m. Officers located the car and enforced a traffic stop. She was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Restraining Order Violation: A resident reported her husband came into the residence in violation of a restraining order on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard a 10:53 p.m. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Monday, Aug. 15

Petty Theft: A chair was taken from outside a building on San Anselmo Avenue.

Petty Theft: There was a possible theft of fruit from a tree on Cherne Lane.

Noise: There was loud music on San Anselmo Avenue at 4:15 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported her daughter had been yelling and disturbing the household on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Fire: A resident reported his propane tank was leaking and couldn’t shut it off on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:12 p.m. Police and fire responded.

Accident – No Injury: A car drove onto the sidewalk at Grove Lane and San Anselmo Avenue at 7:16 p.m. and into the fence of a residence.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for a few hours on Oak Springs Drive.

Family Disturbance: A resident reported her daughter came home and was yelling and disturbing the household on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Officers advised her she needed to keep it down.
