San Anselmo Police: Coyotes Chasing Deer, Minor in Possession, Hydrant Hit

Thursday, July 28

Reckless Driver: There was a reckless driver at San Anselmo and Tunstead Avenues at 8:07 a.m.

Reckless Driver: There was a reckless driver on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:58 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported suspicious subjects at Memorial Park throughout the day. Officers checked several times, but were unable to locate the subjects.

Noise: There was loud music on Scenic Avenue at 4:34 p.m.

Noise: A car was idling for over an hour on Ross Avenue at 10:34 p.m.

Wednesday, July 27

Suspicious Circumstances: Someone knocked on a resident’s front door on Morningside Drive at 12:15 a.m., but when he went to check, no one was there.

Sleeper: An officer located a sleeper in a driveway on Ash Avenue at 3:27 a.m.

Animal: A coyote was chasing a deer on Forbes Avenue.

Burglary: A business was broken into on Red Hill Avenue.

Grand Theft: A bike was stolen on Medway Road.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported a disturbance on Durham Road at 12:52 p.m., but officers determined there was no merit.

Burglary: There was a burglary at a residence on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:07 p.m.

Hit and Run: There was a hit-and-run with property damage at Scenic Avenue and Canyon Road a 3:56 p.m.

Noise: Two small children were screaming and yelling on Sierra Avenue; it is an ongoing issue.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that a camera was missing from her purse. She later located the item inside her residence.

Animal: There was an injured cat in the road at Red Hill and Buena Vista Avenues at 8:49 p.m.

Tuesday, July 26

Trespassing: Two juveniles were on Belle Avenue with skateboards at midnight. Officers contacted five underage subjects who were in possession of alcohol. Four adults and one juvenile were cited for trespassing and one was cited additionally for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Tree Down: A tree fell into a building on Sunnyhills Drive. No injuries were reported.

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious subject who may have slept in a resident’s car on San Rafael Avenue the night before.

Driving on a Suspended License: At a traffic stop on Greenfield Avenue at 8:42 a.m., a driver was determined to need service on their suspended license.

Accident: A car struck a fire hydrant at Bolinas and San Anselmo Avenues at 1 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident found shrink wrap across the road at Brookmead Place and Brookmont Circle during the night.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was digging through dumpsters on San Anselmo Avenue at 5:31 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A man came to a resident’s property on Monterey Avenue at 7:52 p.m., saying he worked for a real estate company and wanted to refinance her mortgage.

Family Disturbance: A resident reported a disturbance involving her son on Sunnyhills Drive at 10:59 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud electric guitar at Belle Avenue and Richmond Road at 11:12 p.m.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles were throwing items at cars driving by on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:36 p.m. 

Monday, July 25

Suspicious Person: A man was asking neighbors for work on San Rafael Avenue at 9:07 a.m. He was sleeping in his car.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man came to a resident’s door on Brookmead Court at 11:22 a.m. and said he wanted to test the gas to the sewer.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Red Hill Avenue at 11:30 a.m., a driver was determined to be unlicensed. She was cited and released and the car was left parked at the scene.

Hit and Run: A driver was stopped the wrong direction on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:18 p.m. A resident observed him strike a parked car and drive off. Officers stopped the car and found the driver was not under the influence.
