San Anselmo Police: Disturbance at a Restaurant, Beer Drinking at Memorial Park, Political Signs Stolen

Wednesday, Oct. 6

Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop at Red Hill and Sequoia Avenues at 12:47 a.m., a man was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked into the county jail for DUI and violating his probation.

Suspicious Vehicle: There was a car parked on Hilldale Drive at 2:03 a.m. with its enhine running.

Hit and Run: A woman reported that she was involved in a hit and run collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:08 a.m., but refused to file a report.

Fire: There was a large amount of smoke coming from Woodland Avenue at 10:41 a.m. It was determined it was coming from a BBQ.

Fire: Numerous callers reported a blown transformer on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:15 p.m. There was no fire and PG&E was notified.

Accident – No Injury: There was a non-injury collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:37 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A man was causing a disturbance at a restaurant on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:56 p.m. He was abated and told not to return.

Grand Theft: A bike was stolen from a residence on Greenfield Avenue at 8:22 p.m.

Sleeper: A subject was sleeping on Center Boulevard at 10:36 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 5

Grand Theft: A car on Woodland Avenue was broken into the night before and some items were stolen.

Petty Theft: A political Sign was stolen from a residence on San Anselmo Avenue.

Vandalism: A resident's babysitter's car was vandalized on Magnolia Avenue the day before.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a third-party report of a man and woman pushing and hitting each other at the rear of a property on Ross Avenue at 12:50 p.m. They left just prior to the officers' arrival.

Probation Violation: A man was drinking beer at Memorial Park at 2:04 p.m. He was booked into the county jail for public intoxication and violation of probation.

Attempt: Someone pried open the back door of a residence on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Vandalism: A car was keyed on Rutherford Avenue.

Suspicious Person: A man was walking around and talking to himself at San Francisco Boulevard and Santa Cruz Avenue at 11:14 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An officer attempted to locate a person walking in the area of Center Boulevard and Bridge Avenue at 11:41 p.m., but was unable to locate.

Monday, Oct. 4

Restraining Order Violation: A resident on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard reported a restraining order violation at 9:06 a.m.

Suspended Drivers License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Saunders Avenue at 10:58 a.m.

Fire: There was a vehicle fire at San Anselmo and Tamalpais Avenues at 11:55 a.m.

Petty Theft: A man left his wallet at a business on San Anselmo Avenue and when he returned someone had stolen it.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was sitting in his car for some time on Spring Grove Avenue at 1:23 p.m.

Solicitor: Two solicitors came to a resident's house on Redwood Road at 3:17 p.m. asking for donations for an organization that she didn't recognize.

Noise: A neighbor on Rutherford Avenue was playing music loudly and her dogs were barking at 9:23 p.m.
