San Anselmo Police: Drunk driver, mountain lion spotted

Friday, Aug. 13

Fraud: Outgoing mail had been stolen from a mailbox on Greenfield Avenue and checks were forged and used to gain cash.

Animal: A mountain lion was spotted on Redwood Road earlier in the week.

Suspicious Person: There was a man, who appeared intoxicated, on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:10 p.m.

Sleeper: A subject has frequently been sleeping in a car at Jones Street and Ross Avenue.

Found: A bike was found on Sunnyhills Drive at 9:20 a.m.

Petty Theft: A bike was taken from a residence on Florence Avenue at 10:06 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Mail was removed from a mailbox on Amberwood Lane and strewn about the yard.

Found: A bike was found at El Cerrito and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:51 p.m.

Noise: A dog was barking on Woodside Drive at 7:19 p.m. Officer responded and responsible was served with a notice of animal complaint.

Solicitor: There was a solicitor in the area of Oak Avenue at 7:42 p.m. who claimed to be with the Census Bureau.

Juvenile: A group of juveniles were dragging a large metal object, possible a soccer goal, at Berkeley and Broadmoor Avenues at 9:19 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop at San Anselmo and Tunstead Avenues at 9:51 p.m., a woman was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.
