San Anselmo Police: Egging, Tire Slashed, Kid Climbing in Window

Thursday, Oct. 13

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported loud noises coming from downstairs of her residence on Nokomis Avenue at 12:53 a.m.

Grand Theft: A car was broken into and a cell phone taken on San Anselmo Avenue.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported that there was a subject at her residence on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard who wouldn’t leave at 10:41 a.m.

Accident – No Injury: An unoccupied car rolled down the hill and hit a gate to a residence on Crescent Road at 1:32 p.m.

Vandalism: Eggs were thrown at a residence on Oak Knoll Avenue.

Vandalism: A resident found spray paint on the hood of her car on Laurel Avenue. 

Wednesday, Oct. 12

Suspicious Circumstances: A parked car smelled of marijuana at Butterfield Road and Meadowcroft Avenue at 8:59 a.m.

Animal: A resident found a lost dog on her property on Saunders Avenue.

Vandalism: A car tire was slashed on Ross Avenue.

Suspicious Person: An officer contacted a subject on Shaw Drive and provided directions and advice at 1:17 p.m.

Petty Theft: A resident reported a theft from his car on Austin Avenue.

Accident – No Injury: A resident reported he was in a traffic collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:07 p.m.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles were blocking traffic on Brookmead Place at 6:21 p.m. and when a resident asked them to move he felt intimidated.

Suspicious Circumstances: A group of juveniles was climbing through a window on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:50 p.m. Officers contacted the parties, who said her son did not have a key for entry.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was yelling on Mountain View Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Officers contacted a subject, who was looking for his dog. 

Tuesday, Oct. 11

Animal: There was a swarm of bees on Tunstead Avenue at 11:16 a.m. Officers located a small number of bees. Bee Service was contacted and found that the bees were in poor health and requested that Department of Public Works spray them with soapy water.

Juveniles: There were problematic juveniles reported on Summit Road at 11: 55 a.m.

Animal: A dog was running in and out of traffic on San Francisco Boulevard at 4:45 p.m.

Accident with DUI Driver: A resident reported he heard a collision on Butterfield Road and found a car had hit a telephone pole at 8:09 p.m. Officers found the driver had collided into a tree and sign. He was arrested for driving while under the influence and booked into the county jail.

Smoke: A resident reported she could smell smoke under the bridge on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Officers located one subject, but another got away. Fire Department located an illegal fire pit and the fire was extinguished.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported her boyfriend was intoxicated and broke the front door on Rutherford Avenue at 10:28 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 10

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Second Street and Marquard in San Rafael at 6:21 a.m., an officer determined a man was driving without a license. He was cited and released and the car was parked at the scene.

Burglary: A resident reported a burglary from a car on Red Hill Avenue.

Vandalism: There was vandalism to a building on Red Hill Avenue.
