San Anselmo Police: Friend Gets Drunk and Takes Car, Threats, Chicken Missing

Sunday, April 10

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Butterfield Road and Oak Knoll Drive at 10:22 a.m. a man was determined to be driving without a valid license. He was cited and stood by for a licensed driver to pick up his car.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was getting into his car on Richmond Road when a woman drove past him very close and nearly hit him at 12:20 p.m. An officer spoke to the resident and found it was related to an ongoing neighbor dispute.

Suspicious Circumstance: A resident’s friend came over the night before and spent the night on Grove Hill Avenue South. When the resident went to bed, the friend drank half a bottle of liquor and rook the resident’s car, but doesn’t remember where he took it. The car was returned, but now there’s a dent in the rear.

Terrorist Threats: An employee’s ex-husband came to a business on Red Hill Avenue and pushed her into a wall. Now, he’s been calling nonstop, threatening security and the employee that he will kill them.

Muni Code Violation: A contractor was using power tools out front on San Anselmo Avenue and was disturbing guests at 6:57 p.m.

Barking Dog: There was an anonymous complaint of a dog barking for two hours on Oak Springs Drive at 8:06 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: While at a traffic stop at Butterfield Road and Rutherford Avenue, an underage woman was determined to be DUI at 11:23 p.m.

Saturday, April 9

Hazard: The traffic light at Red Hill and Sequoia Avenues was not working at 8:46 a.m.

Reckless Driving: A car drove through a crosswalk while a pedestrian was crossing at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Red Hill Avenue at 11:18 a.m.

School Resource Detail: There was a complaint of skateboarders on school property on Saunders Avenue at 1:08 p.m. Officers contacted two juveniles, who were advised that skateboarding wasn’t permitted on school property.

Noise: There were numerous calls of a very loud TV on Magnolias Avenue at 6:57 p.m.

Friday, April 8

Animal: Officers located what appeared to be an injured owl in the roadway on Carlson Avenue at 3:12 a.m. Officers determined that the owl was not, in fact, injured and it flew away.

Public Intoxication: Officers located an intoxicated subject at Greenfield Avenue and Lincoln Park at 3:45 a.m. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to Helen Vine detox.

Public Intoxication: There was a report of a disoriented female in the area of Center Boulevard and she was determined to be intoxicated at 8:48 a.m. Subject was transported to Helen Vine detox.

Animal: A resident reported that she lost her “Americana” chicken the night before on Madrone Avenue.

Stolen Vehicle: A resident reported a possible stolen vehicle at Applied Home Performance on Red Hill Avenue at 2:24 p.m. It was determined to be a miscommunication and the matter was resolved.

Juveniles: There was a group of juveniles sitting on a car on Bridge Avenue at 5:46 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported hearing a disturbance in the area of Forrest Court at 8:54 p.m. Nothing out of the ordinary was noted.
