San Anselmo Police: Heated arguments and suspicious circumstances over the weekend

Saturday, Aug. 29

Driving without a License: An officer initiated activity at Greenfield and Spring Grove Avenues at 10:04 a.m. and determined a juvenile driver was unlicensed. She was cited and released to a parent.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Sequoia Drive at 1:32 p.m. An officer located the dog, who was stuck on the top of a shed. He was able to get it off the shed and back into the yard.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men were seen around a resident's house on Vista Lane at 1:44 p.m. and it appeared as if they were trying to get in the house.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men took a cargo box off a car on Lansdale Avenue at 4:24 p.m. Officers checked the area, but couldn't find the suspects. The resident later called and reported that her husband was taken it without telling her.

Disturbing the Peace: Two subjects were in a heated argument about one of them having trimmed some foliage on Meadowcroft Drive and Broadmoor Avenue at 5:57 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Someone was seen trying the doors of a vacant house on Oak Springs Drive at 8:15 p.m.

Domestic Violence: An officer met with a victim of a domestic violence incident.

Attempt: A resident heard someone trying to jimmy his house windows on Vista Lane at 9 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident heard a young girl saying, "Mom, he's hurting you, call the police," along with banging and shuffling on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:19 p.m. Officers contacted the involved parties and they agreed to stay apart for the night.

Suspicious Circumstances: There were people in a yard on Vista Lance whistling at the residents at 10:29 p.m. Officers checked the property, which was clear.

Saturday, Aug. 28

Suspicious Vehicle: A car was driving slowly through the neighborhood at Oak Avenue and Gerlack Road at 4:33 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was acting "weird" on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:57 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a verbal argument between a group of teenage boys on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:25 p.m.

Petty Theft: A resident's bike was taken from the front of their house on Kemp Avenue.

Accident: There was an accident at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and San Francisco Boulevard at 5:41 p.m. and one of the drivers reported that the other was unlicensed. An officer determined there was a miscommunication on the driver's license status.

False Registration: At a traffic stop at San Anselmo and Tamalpais Avenues at 6:21 p.m. an officer determined that a driver's registration was expired, but had a valid sticker on the plate. The license plate was confiscated and the driver was cited.

Juveniles: Two male juveniles were on a rooftop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:05 p.m. An officer checked the area, which was clear.

Noise: A loud group of people were on Belle Avenue at 11:51 p.m. An officer located a group that was leaving a function and a cab was called for two people who had been drinking.
