San Anselmo Police: Hit and Runs, Gun Advice

The following is a selection of calls made to the from Nov. 18-20. The police logs are public record and can be found on the department's website.

Sunday, Nov. 20

Hit and Run: An officer located a “No U-turn” sign that was on the ground at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Bridge Avenue.

Court Order Violation: A resident reported a court order violation on Butterfield Road at 11:19 a.m.

Vandalism: An officer contacted a resident about her car being keyed on Butterfield Road.

Accident – No Injury: A car collided with a parked car on Ross Avenue at 5:53 p.m.

Hit and Run: A car hit another car’s side mirror on Woodside Drive at 7:34 p.m. and fled the scene. Offices were unable to locate the responsible vehicle.

Saturday, Nov. 19

Suspicious Circumstances: Someone was ringing a resident’s doorbell for an hour on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6 a.m.

Accident – Minor Injury: There was a report of a non-injury collision at Suffield Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:23 p.m. Officers determined there were minor injuries and fire/medical responded and treated one driver on the scene.

Trespassing: A resident reported an unwanted subject in her home on Longwood Drive at 2:44 p.m. Officers provided assistance, including transportation to the bus stop.

Hit and Run: A resident reported that a cyclist hit her car on San Anselmo Avenue at 9:36 p.m. Officers located the cyclist.

Barking Dog: A dog was reported barking on Laurel Avenue at 10:21 p.m. Officers responded and found it quiet.

Friday, Nov. 18

Minor Injury Accident with DUI Driver: There was a car collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. The driver was transported to Marin General for treatment of minor injuries.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious man on Sunnyhills Drive at 12:20 p.m.

Probation Violation: A resident reported her missing juvenile daughter returned home. Officers responded and arrested the juvenile for probation violation and booked her into juvenile hall.

Citizen Assist: A resident requested advice regarding her son having a gun in the residence. Officers met with the resident and the child was counseled on playing with guns.

Solicitor: A resident reported a suspicious solicitor came to her house on San Francisco Boulevard at 5:10 p.m. offering cleaning services.

Barking Dog: There was a dog barking on Broadmoor Avenue at 6:49 p.m.
