Wednesday, Aug. 25

Road Rage: An officer took a report of a road rage incident on Butterfield Road at 12:28 p.m.

Attempted Theft: There was an attempted theft on San Anselmo Avenue at 12:43 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported that he father was intoxicated and was screaming and causing a disturbance on Tamalpais Avenue at 5:24 p.m. He was determined to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself and was transported to detox.

Narcotic Laws: There was a subject on Butterfield Road sitting in a car and drinking alcohol on Butterfield Road at 7:49 p.m. An officer responded and determined there was no merit to the alcohol consumption. However, the subject was determined to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two juveniles on bikes yelled at a woman at San Anselmo Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:14 p.m. They were contacted and sent home.

Tuesday, Aug. 24

Fire: There was a smell of smoke in the area of Sais Avenue at 8:47 a.m.

Accident: A car rolled away and hit a fence at Veterans Plaza at 9:46 a.m.

Stolen Credit Card: Someone gained access to a resident's credit info and made charges.

Suspicious Circumstances: AAA reported that a panicked member in the area of San Anselmo and Bolinas Avenues had called and hung up at 2:33 p.m. and might be in need of a welfare check. Officers checked the area and couldn't find her.

Reckless Driving: A truck pulling a trailer failed to stop at several red lights and was driving recklessly at San Anselmo Avenue and Fern Lane at 2:46 p.m. Officers contacted the driver and his vehicle was towed for expired registration in the access of six months.

Accident: There was a collision involving three to four cars and a minor injury at San Anselmo Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:31 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a report of a possible shoplifter on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:30 p.m., but officers determined there was no merit to the theft. Per the manager's request, the subject was advised not to return to the store.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men were removing signs from a bulletin board at Lansdale and San Anselmo Avenues at 8:21 p.m. It was determined there was a verbal dispute between a landlord and a tenant.

Barking Dog: A dog had been barking for two hours on Sais Avenue at 10:49 p.m. An officer noted that the dog was barking upon arrival, but nobody was home.

Juveniles: Some juveniles kept picking up the phone from a call box and were making prank calls on San Anselmo Avenue at 11:54 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 23

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: There was a suspicious car parked in a lot on Butterfield Road at 12:17 a.m. It was determined the car had been reported stolen out of San Rafael. It was impounded.

Shoplifting: A juvenile attempted to steal merchandise from a store on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:13 a.m. and staff had him detained. Officers responded and cited and released the juvenile for shoplifting.

Suspicious Person: A subject was lingering on San Anselmo Avenue for two hours and was taking his clothes off. He was abated from the area.

Suspicious Person: A subject was lying on the ground at San Anselmo and Grove Avenues at 2:18 p.m. Officers contacted him and he was en route to the bus stop.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident was approached by two men on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:46 p.m., who said her tires were flat and that she should hire them to fix the tires. She thought there didn't appear to be any damage, but as she drove home she thought one was low.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a subject loitering in their car on Greenfield Avenue at 8 p.m.

Begging: Two men were sitting on a bench on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:42 p.m. drinking and asking people for money.
