San Anselmo Police: Juveniles High, Car in Bushes, Restraining Order

Sunday, April 24

Juvenile: A resident saw four male juveniles walking and staggering in the area of Saunders Avenue at 1 a.m. and heard them say, “I’ve never been this high before.”

Disturbing the Peace: A resident heard a man yelling hello, as if calling for help on Sequoia Drive at 2:14 p.m.

Fire: There was a possible natural gas smell around the outside of a house on Bella Vista Avenue at 7:25 a.m.

Sleeper: Two subjects have been sleeping on a property on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Disturbing the Peace: A neighbor was banging on a door on San Anselmo Avenue at 1:33 p.m. and the resident believed he was intoxicated. Officers found it was a verbal altercation only.

Disturbing the Peace: An upset woman said a man was following her on Hilldale Drive at 2:45 p.m. When dispatch tried to get more information, the woman said she didn’t need help and hung up.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was dumping items from his car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4 p.m. Officers contacted the subject, who lives in his car and needed to remove items to get his spare tire in.

Reckless Driving: A driver was driving erratically and was splitting lanes by the Hub at 4:41 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident was trying to leave on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, but her boyfriend wouldn’t let her at 5:06 p.m.

Driving without a License: While at a traffic stop at Fourth Street and Greenfield Avenue at 10:06 p.m., a man was determined to be an unlicensed driver. He was issued a notice to appear and the car was left parked at the scene.

Saturday, April 23

Noise: A resident’s neighbor was playing music very loudly on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:20 a.m.

Solicitor: There was a group of juveniles soliciting on Meadowcroft Drive at 11:09 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a heated argument between a property owner and tenant on Magnolia Avenue at 1:22 p.m. Officers determined it was verbal only.

Brandishing a Weapon: A male tenant had a shotgun and threatened someone with it on Magnolia Avenue at 1:44 p.m. He was arrested for brandishing a weapon and criminal threats and booked into the county jail.

Suspicious Person: Officers contacted some juveniles on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:20 p.m. They were determined to be waiting for a ride. 

Friday, April 22

Reckless Driving: A driver was swerving in a lane on Red Hill Avenue and couldn’t maintain the lines at 11:30 a.m.

Found: A resident found a woman’s wallet in a store on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, but didn’t want to leave it with the employees, since she wasn’t sure she could trust them.

Threats: A resident reported that a subject she reported previously was calling and threatened her.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that someone was trying to enter her apartment on Luna Lane at 8 p.m. While officers were enroute, she reported that the people were standing by the door and calling her name, but no entry was attempted. The exterior was checked and there were no signs of attempted entry.

Noise: There was a possible juvenile party on Indian Rock Court at 10:08 p.m. Contact was made with a parent, who was supervising a birthday party.

Temporary Restraining Order: A resident wanted to speak with an officer regarding a TRO violation that occurred on March 18. It was determined the resident had already reported the violation.

Juvenile: There was a loud group of juveniles walking down Butterfield Road at 10:52 p.m. Officer stood by until parents arrived to pick some of them up.

Suspicious Circumstances: A car appeared to have collided with some bushes on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:17 p.m. It was determined there was no merit to the collision; the driver was just trying to remain hidden from the street. She was reprimanded.
