San Anselmo Police: Loud Girl Scouts, Driver with Marijuana, Intoxicated Woman Calling 9-1-1 Repeatedly

Sunday, Feb. 27

Noise: Loud music was coming from a business on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:17 a.m. Officer documented decibel readings and notified the business manager.

Noise: A subject was revving their engine in the parking lot on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:32 a.m.

Warrant Arrest: Officers served an outstanding warrant out of Marin County to a woman on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:52 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Red Hill Avenue discovered some of her items missing.

Fire: The downstairs portion of a house on Humboldt Avenue was filling with smoke at 1:39 p.m.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles were trying to sell Girl Scout cookies, but they were shouting very loudly at passing motorists at San Anselmo Avenue and Redwood Road at 2:18 p.m.

Animal: A dog was running loose at the dog park with no lease or tags at 5:55 p.m.

Burglary: A witness in the parking lot on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard saw three subjects walk out with items under their shirts at 8:25 p.m. They got in a car and drove away.

Saturday, Feb. 26

Possession of Marijuana: During a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:18 a.m., an officer determined a driver was in possession of marijuana. He was served with a Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:38 a.m., a woman was cited and released for driving without a license.

Found: A bike was left leaned up against a curb on Bolinas Avenue at 11 a.m.

Animal: A woman was pouring birdseed in the street on Sunnyhills Drive at 11:58 a.m., which was attracting a large group of birds.

Grand Theft: A resident parked her car on Red Hill Avenue and locked it. When she returned, she found a door open and her purse and contents were taken.

Vandalism: A lock is cut off repeatedly for access to the baseball fields on Ross Avenue.

Reckless Driving: A driver couldn’t maintain their lane on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:27 p.m. and was driving very dangerously. The driver was reaching behind the backseat and was distracted.

Reckless Driving: A resident was following a possible DUI driver at the Hub at 6:52 p.m. Officer responded and checked the area with negative results.

Noise: There was a deep base sound that lasts 10 seconds then stops for two to 10 minutes on San Rafael Avenue at 10:41 p.m. Officers found the area quiet and listened for a period of time, but didn’t hear the noise again.

Hit and Run: A resident heard a crashing noise on Redwood Road and saw a vehicle driving away at 10:50 p.m. Officers checked the area and noted minor damage to the bumper of a car.

Friday, Feb. 25

Suspicious Vehicle: A car had its door open on San Francisco Boulevard at midnight and was determined to be in the sheriff’s jurisdiction.

Probation Violation: After repeatedly calling dispatch intoxicated, a woman was arrested and booked for probation violation, public intoxication, and two counts of resisting arrest on Ross Avenue at 1:13 a.m.

Petty Theft: A resident reported a theft on Redwood Road.

Juveniles: Three juveniles on small, motorized vehicles cross the road at San Anselmo and Belle Avenues at 1:32 p.m. without watching for oncoming traffic.

Noise: There was loud music on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:57 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that she heard strange noises coming from her neighbor’s residence on Scenic Avenue at 11:37 p.m. The neighbor was trimming a tree.
