San Anselmo Police: Loud Parties and Wedding, Sprinkler Set Off, Hit and Runs

Monday, Sept. 26

Warrant Arrest: While checking a car on Shaw Drive at 2:08 a.m., an officer located a subject on foot, who was determined to have an outstanding warrant out of the county.

Grand Theft: A laptop was taken from an unlocked car at San Anselmo and Belle Avenues at 4:30 p.m.

Fire: An alarm with a light flashing was reported on San Anselmo Avenue at 6:52 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for two hours on Broadmoor Avenue. Two neighbors called to report that it was an ongoing issue.

Reckless Driving: A resident flagged down an officer regarding a driver going the wrong way down Red Hill Avenue at 9:51 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud BBQ on Ancho Vista Avenue at 10:22 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a verbal altercation between family members at Santa Barbara Avenue and Durham Road at 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 25

Suspicious Circumstances: A motion sensor and buzzer went off toward the front of a residence on Saunders Avenue at 1:21 a.m. No one was found.

Accident – No Injury: Officer assisted parties in exchanging information on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:02 a.m.

Municipal Code Violation: A leaf blower was in use on Stone Court.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Oak Springs Drive at 2:42 p.m.

Accident – Minor Injury: There was a solo cycling accident on San Anselmo Avenue at 6:40 p.m. The cyclist was transported to Marin General.

Saturday, Sept. 24

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:43 a.m., a man was determined to be driving without a license. He was cited and released and the car was towed and held for 30 days.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that she thought someone turned on a backyard spigot on Oak Springs Drive at 2:25 a.m. Officer found it was a sprinkler system.

Noise: Children were playing loudly on Ross Avenue at 6:26 a.m. Officers found it quiet on arrival.

Fire: A resident reported a natural gas smell from the side of a residence on Camino De Herrera at 11:26 a.m. Officers determined it was an odor from a neighbor’s grill.

Hit and Run: A vehicle hit a parked car and didn’t stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:01 p.m.

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious person on Sunnyhills Drive at 6:37 p.m.

Noise: There was loud music on Kensington Road at 8:31 p.m. An officer responded and contacted a wedding, which was to end at 9:30 p.m. The music was turned down.

Noise: A resident reported noise on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard was keeping his kids awake at 9:22 p.m.

Noise: There was loud crowd of people yelling at Memorial Park at 10:05 p.m. Officers broke up the crowd.

Noise: There was a loud party on The Alameda at 10:10 p.m. Officer located a party with a live band.

Barking Dog: There was a barking dog on Spruce Avenue at 10:12 p.m.

Noise: A man and woman were yelling at each other in a backyard on Ross Avenue at 11:40 p.m. Officers found a small gathering.

Friday, Sept. 23

Barking Dog: There were two reports of a barking dog on Salinas Avenue at 1:17 a.m.

Hazard: There was a portable toilet on the sidewalk at Mariposa and San Anselmo Avenues at 8:10 a.m.

Barking Dog: There was a dog barking on Laurel Avenue at 11:01 a.m.

Hit and Run: A resident was rear-ended and the driver left the scene on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Petty Theft: During an event, a resident reported that juveniles had property taken.

Barking Dog: Dogs were barking on San Anselmo Avenue at 7:43 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud group on Ross Avenue at 10:58 p.m.

Noise: A loud group was reported on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:19 p.m. Officers abated a group from the area.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident saw a car stop at Sequoia Drive and Red Hill Avenue at 11:28 p.m. and a possible altercation.
