San Anselmo Police: Loud Parties, Woman Screaming, Bike Thief with Drugs

The following information was provided by the San Anselmo Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

Sunday, Sept. 18

Grand Theft: An iPhone was stolen from a car at Saunders Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard the day before.

Suspicious Person: A man was yelling and cursing at Lansdale and San Anselmo Avenues at 11:11 a.m.

Animal: A dog was barking for an hour an Allyn Avenue.

Animal: A resident found a lost dog at Center Boulevard and Saunders Avenue at 2:42 p.m.

Petty Theft: A bike with tennis racquets on it was stolen the week before.

Suspicious Person: A resident received secondhand information on a man, who was seen with his hands in his pants as he watched women walking by on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:03 p.m. Officers contacted the subject, who had his hands in his pockets and there was nothing inappropriate. He was moved along.

Reckless Driving: A truck was driving erratically and bottomed out at Bennitt and Suffield Avenues at 9:16 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Three male subjects were seen jumping on the roof of a building on Ross Avenue at 9:48 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for two to three hours on Brookside Drive.

Disturbing the Peace: A woman was screaming somewhere in the area of Durham Road at 9:52 p.m. Another resident reported a verbal argument between a brother and sister.

Noise: A group was playing music and talking loudly at Ross and Cedar Avenues at 10:55 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 17

Noise: There was a loud party at a residence on Ross Avenue at 12:15 a.m.

Noise: There was a loud party on Hawthorne Avenue at 2:48 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: An officer responded to a disturbance at a residence on Sais Avenue at 10:14 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a report of a disturbance on Redwood Road at 11:02 a.m. It was determined to be a verbal altercation.

Noise: Multiple residents reported a loud party on Bennit Avenue at 7:29 p.m. The music was turned down slightly and the responsible was advised to shut the party down at 10 p.m. At 10 p.m., a resident called to say the noise was continuing. An officer responded and the party was shut down.

Noise: There was a loud party on The Alameda at 10:32 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 16

Suspicious Person: A subject was staggering in the road at Center Boulevard and Madrone Avenue at 12:40 a.m. and appeared to be disoriented.

Noise: There were loud patrons and music at a business on Greenfield Avenue at 1:42 a.m.

Noise: An unfamiliar vehicle was parked on Tunstead Avenue at 2:44 a.m. with two subjects being loud and playing music.

Battery: A resident reported she witness a man attacking a woman getting out of a car on Greenfield Avenue at 9:39 a.m. The woman was located and a report was taken.

Animal: A dog got loose from a resident’s house on Tamalpais Avenue at 10:25 a.m.

Narcotics: A subject who had stolen a bike was detained on San Anselmo Avenue at 7:06 p.m. The bike owner declined to press charges, but the man was determined to be in possession of narcotics. He was arrested and booked at the county jail.

Grand Theft: A bike was stolen from San Anselmo Avenue.

Vandalism: A man smashed a side mirror off a car on Lincoln Park at 8:55 p.m. He was cited and released for vandalism.

Juvenile: Juveniles were on the roof a building on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:37 p.m. Officers located and abated several groups of juveniles, but none were on a roof.
