San Anselmo Police: Man bathing in fountain, group of juveniles swarm residents' car

Wednesday, Sept. 15

Hit and Run: An unknown driver drove into a resident's garage door on Medway Road and left the scene.

Suspicious Person: A subject was setting up camp behind a business on Red Hill Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Officers abated him from the area.

Suspicious Person: There was a report of a subject camping in the area of Smith Lane at 7:29 p.m. After officers couldn't locate the subject, another resident reported the subject was back. An officer abated the subject, who was also cited for possession of a shopping cart.

Assist Fire Detector: A carbon monoxide detector on Laurel Avenue was sounding at 9:02 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 14

Sleeper: An officer located a subject sleeping in their vehicle at The Alameda and Berkeley Avenue at 2:29 a.m.

Unwanted Subject: A former employee was refusing to leave a building on Red Hill Avenue at 8:31 a.m. The owner wanted to advise him if he returns he'll be arrested for trespassing.

Suspicious Person: A subject was seen on a property on Mariposa Avenue at 9:44 a.m. The subject has previously been abated and was given a trespassing warning.

Accident: There was a collision at The Hub at 11:27 a.m. with no injuries.

Suspicious Circumstances: A shopping cart with personal belongings was left between two building on San Anselmo Avenue.

Suspicious Person: A man was bathing in a fountain on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:10 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A group of male juveniles jumped into traffic at San Anselmo and Grove Avenues at 3:38 p.m. and were yelling, attempting to kick a resident's car, and threatening the resident. Officers contacted a juvenile from the group, who was cited and released to a parent.

Accident: A car hit a pedestrian at San Anselmo and Mariposa Avenues at 3:44 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A previously reported homeless man returned to a resident on San Anselmo Avenue and was going through a garbage can on the street at 7:40 p.m. Earlier in the day, he left his belongings on the property and the resident threw them away.

Monday, Sept. 13

Sleeper: A subject has been squatting behind a building on Red Hill Avenue.

Vandalism: There was graffiti on some buildings and equipment on Belle Avenue.

Vandalism: There were numerous new tags on property on Karl Avenue.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Bolinas Avenue at 2:32 p.m., an officer determined a man was driving while unlicensed. He was cited and released and his car was left parked for a licensed driver.

Petty Theft: A bike was stolen on Belle Avenue.

Sleeper: A man was sleeping on a bench in Memorial Park at 4:11 p.m.

Accident: A resident's son was hit by a car while he was riding his bike on San Anselmo Avenue at 4:22 p.m. He wasn't injured, but the driver drove away. Officers located the car and the parties exchanged information.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was walking in the middle of the street at the Hub and was stopping traffic randomly at 5:15 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was an anonymous report of a homeless person building a campfire at the rear of a building on Red Hill Avenue at 9:39 p.m. He was giving a trespassing advisement and abated from the area.
