San Anselmo Police: Milk Thrown, Prowlers, Woman Sits Down in Wrong House

San Anselmo Police Logs: April 19-21

Thursday, April 21

Battery: A resident was receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-employee.

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman came into a resident’s house on Butterfield Road the night before and asked for the resident’s son. She was advised he no longer lived there.

Civil Problem: Furniture and other items were stolen out of a garage on Oak Knoll Avenue sometime between Saturday and Thursday. There were multiple roommates coming in and out and the landlord was unaware of the resident’s storing their belongings.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident’s 17-year-old son was home alone on Sais Avenue at 9:05 p.m. when a woman he didn’t know entered the residence and sat down at the dining table, reading a magazine. It was determined she had mistaken the house for another location.

Wednesday, April 20

Prowler: A resident heard what sounded like glass breaking or someone trying to pop her window out on Prospect Avenue at 12:28 a.m. Officers checked the residence, but couldn’t find anything.

Prowler: A resident heard something or someone is near her rabbits on Jordan Avenue at 2:06 a.m.

Juveniles: A mother dialed 9-1-1, because he son was refusing to go to school at 7:10 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An older black van was cruising the neighborhood on Butterfield Road at 10:40 a.m.

Narcotics: A juvenile was found in possession of a large quantity of marijuana on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:40 p.m. The juvenile was citer and transported to their residence.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident was followed by a man through town on Red Hill Avenue.

Petty Theft: A purse was stolen from a business on April 18 on San Anselmo Avenue.

Missing Person Report: A resident’s 14-year-old daughter was missing and never showed up at school that morning. The daughter returned home around 8:40 p.m. and then there was a dispute between them over the daughter having taken the mother’s breathalyzer.

Tuesday, April 19 

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman found a cigarette butt in her backyard on Sais Avenue and believes someone might have been there recently.

Petty Theft: A resident left her car unlocked for five minutes and someone stole her purse on Ross Avenue.

Burglary: A car’s window was smashed and a backpack taken on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Fourth Street and Ross Valley Drive at 1:30 p.m., a man was determined to be driving without a valid license. He was cited and released and his car was left legally parked.

Barking Dog: Dogs were reported barking for over an hour and half on Pine Street.

Disturbing the Peace: Two female subjects caused a disturbance in a store on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:56 p.m. and threw milk on numerous people.

Road Rage: A resident came out of her driveway on Glen Road and there was a car blocking the road. She honked and the driver reversed all the way down the hill and followed her to Center Boulevard, then passing her and slamming on his brakes in front of her.

Family Disturbance: A resident’s son was out of control and blocking her from going from room to room on Hawthorne Avenue at 9:58 p.m.
