San Anselmo Police: Possible Firearm, Lost Cat, Money Stolen

Sunday, Dec. 18

Suspicious Person: A resident reported he returned home on Oak Springs Drive at midnight and saw a man wearing an orange reflective jacket and standing in the road. Officers responded and found he was waiting for his coworker to pick him up.

Grand Theft: Someone took a bike from a garage on Mariposa Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident received third-hand information about a man who might have a firearm at Crescent Road and Raymond Avenue at 9:42 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A suspicious subject was throwing rocks at a residence and some dogs on Laurel Avenue at 10:06 a.m.

Animal: A resident asked to be on the lookout for a lost cat on Oak Springs Drive.

Accident – Minor Injury: A cyclist was involved in a collision on Woodside Drive at 5:53 p.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Disturbing the Peace: There was an altercation between a man and woman at Memorial Park at 8:48 p.m. They had two dogs with them.

Disturbing the Peace: A woman was walking in the crosswalk on San Anselmo Avenue and a driver wasn’t yielding to her. She yelled at him, because he was on his cell phone. He waited outside his car and harassed her.

Saturday, Dec. 17

Juveniles: A group of juveniles was playing music loudly and loitering on Saunders Avenue at 12:28 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was an alarm on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:06 a.m. Fire Department was on the scene.

Accident – No Injury: There was a non-injury collision at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Saunders Avenue at 11:23 a.m.

Grand Theft: A resident reported a theft of money over six months on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Suspicious Person: An unfamiliar man was walking in and out of the neighborhood at Camino de Herrera and Rutherford Avenue at 12:11 p.m.

Reckless Driving: A car was swerving in and out of traffic on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:12 p.m. The passengers were also yelling out of the car at other motorists and forced another car off the road. Officers located the subjects, who were not driving under the influence. They were warned and sent home.

Noise: A neighbor was making a loud noise on Butterfield Road at 6:29 p.m.

Hazard: A resident reported he found sewage leaking on the street on Greenfield Avenue at 6:54 p.m. Officers responded and determined a resident’s laundry plumbing was backed up, not sewage.

Family Disturbance: A resident reported a family disturbance on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:24 p.m. Officers responded and confirmed nothing physical had occurred.

Friday, Dec. 16

Court Order Violation: A man was on a property on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:15 a.m., in violation of a court order.

Fire: A resident smelled smoke on Cypress Road at 11:54 a.m.

Animal: A coyote was walking around the area on Red Hill Avenue at 3:59 p.m.

Juveniles: There were two reports of a group of juveniles loitering on Camino de Herrera at 7:43 p.m. Officers made contact with a parent who was supervising a birthday party that just ended.

Hit and Run: A resident reported his wife was involved in a hit and run collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:15 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Alder Avenue requested that a neighbor turn off his flood light at 10:41 p.m.

Accident – No Injury: There was a non-injury collision at Center Boulevard and San Anselmo Avenue at 10:46 p.m.
