San Anselmo Police: Prowelers, Dog Stolen, Unlocked Cars Broken Into

Thursday, Sept. 22

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that she heard someone in her backyard on Tunstead Avenue at 1:50 a.m. A subject had locked himself out of his apartment.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Laurel Avenue at 10:02 a.m.

Suspicious Person: There was a sleeper on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:42 p.m.

Municipal Code Violation: A leafblower was in use on Tunstead Avenue at 2:29 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A man was knocking on a resident’s front door on Broadmoor Avenue at 9:46 p.m. and stood on the porch steps for ten minutes.

Sleeper: Officers contacted a subject sleeping on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:36 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 21

Petty Theft: A resident reported that a man assaulted him on San Anselmo Avenue at 8:03 a.m. During the incident, the resident’s dog got off his leash and the man took his dog.

Hazard: There were multiple reports of a disabled car obstructing traffic at Red Hill Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported a suspicious subject at her neighbor’s residence on Cedar Street at 1:27 p.m. The homeowner confirmed the subject is allowed to be working on the premises.

Petty Theft: During the night, someone accessed a resident’s property during the night and entered two unlocked cars and took miscellaneous items. On Sturdivant Avenue.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Broadmoor Avenue at 6:39 p.m.

Petty Theft: During the night, an unlocked car on Prospect Avenue was riffled through and property was taken.

Tuesday, Sept. 20

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was moaning in the area of Greenfield and Terrace Avenues at 2:33 a.m.

Prowler: A resident saw someone run in her backyard on Greenfield Avenue and seemed to have a light at 3:10 a.m. Officers located two raccoons.

Barking Dog: There was a barking dog somewhere near Floribel Avenue and Redwood Road at 4:03 a.m.

Sleeper: A subject was sleeping behind a business on Red Hill Avenue at 7 a.m.

Municipal Code Violation: A leafblower was in use on Tamalpais Avenue at 12:43 p.m.

Fraud: A resident reported someone used his debit card and made unauthorized charges.

Wires Down: Wires were down on Brookmont Circle at 3:11 p.m. It was determined they were phone lines.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious person on San Rafael Avenue at 4:34 p.m.

Family Disturbance: A resident reported he got into an argument with his mother regarding money on Belle Avenue at 7:13 p.m.

Barking Dog: There was an ongoing barking dog issue on Broadmoor Avenue.

Disturbing the Peace: A neighbor was banging on the walls on Buena Vista Avenue at 9:15 p.m. It was a possible dispute and a man was heard yelling, throwing things around and banding on walls. Officers determined the subject was by himself and intoxicated. He was advised to keep it down for the night.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man drove up to a woman and started to yell at her at Saunders Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:16 p.m. The man was trying to get her into his car, but the woman left the area.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident noticed items have been missing from in front of her residence on Red Hill Avenue.

Noise: Loud music is coming from a residence on Saunders Avenue at 10:23 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A dark car was left parked in the middle of the road on Arroyo Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Officers found it had a flat front tire and was left unlocked. Another officer located the driver, who was intoxicated. He was booked into the county jail for public intoxication and his car was towed.

Monday, Sept. 19

Suspicious Person: A homeless subject was behind a building on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Noise: There was a loud high-pitched noise on The Alameda at 8:18 a.m. It was intermittent and appeared to be coming from Deer Hollow.

Municipal Code Violation: There was a leafblower violation on San Anselmo Avenue at 11:30 a.m.

Municipal Code Violation: Three signs were removed at Butterfield Road and Suffield Avenue.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Allyn Avenue and no one was home at 2:51 p.m.

Accident – Minor Injury: An officer took a report for a minor injury collision at Broadmoor Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:59 p.m.

Reckless Driving: A driver was pulled into the roadway at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Bolinas Avenue at 3:59 p.m. and a driver had to swerve off the road to avoid being hit.
