San Anselmo Police: Students in Possession of Marijuana, Son Throws Rock Through Window, Thefts

Thursday, Feb. 17

Reckless Driving: There was a reckless driver at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Glen Drive at 8:13 a.m.

Suspicious Person: A subject was panhandling on Center Boulevard at 10:35 a.m.

Reckless Driving: A car was parked the wrong way in the middle of the road on Greenfield Avenue at 12:32 p.m.

Juveniles: There were juveniles possibly smoking marijuana at Fern Lane and San Anselmo Avenue at 1:46 p.m. Officers responded and contacted the juvenile.

Vandalism: There was a report of graffiti on a building on San Anselmo Avenue.

Suspicious Person: A subject was standing at Butterfield Road and Suffield Avenue at 6:53 p.m. Officer contacted the subject, who was waiting for a ride.

Wednesday, Feb. 16

Attempt: While responding to an alarm activation, officers discovered an attempted break-in to a business on Greenfield Avenue at 12:03 a.m.

Noise: There was a loud buzzing sound on Bolinas Avenue at 12:26 a.m.

Juveniles: There was a request that a truant student be contacted at home. Officer contacted the juvenile and took her to school, where she was released to the principal.

Juveniles: A resident wanted an officer to speak with his daughter about running away. The juvenile was counseled and parents were given advice.

Unwanted Subject: A resident said her son was attempting to gain entry to the residence and she didn’t want him there on Tamalpais Avenue at 8:17 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 15

Grand Theft: A resident reported a theft of her jewelry and other items that occurred in December.

Probation Violation: Per order of his probation officer, officers arrested a juvenile probationer and booked him into juvenile hall.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported that her daughter’s boyfriend was going crazy n Brookside Drive at 12:37 p.m. Caller then disconnected. She called back to say he left in her daughter’s car.

Possession of Marijuana: Two students were found in possession of marijuana on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:28 p.m. Both juveniles were cited and their parents were notified

Suspicious Circumstances: Someone siphoned gas from a resident’s car during the night on San Anselmo Avenue.

Wires Down: A wire fell from a pole on Camino De Herrera and hit a woman’s car. Officers determined it was an electrical wire and stood by until PG&E arrived.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident could hear a man yelling and screaming on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:40 p.m., but can’t hear what he’s saying.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was yelling into a megaphone on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:44 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 14

Prowler: A resident heard someone walking back and forth in front of her house and her gate being moved on Lansdale Avenue at 12:26 a.m.

Family Disturbance: A resident on Magnolia Avenue heard a verbal domestic dispute that sounded very heated at 7:51 a.m. Officers responded and were unclear if anything physical had occurred. Both parties declined a report.

Vandalism: A resident’s son threw an object through the window on Redwood Road at 2:17 p.m. and left in his car.

Petty Theft: Some jewelry was missing from a residence on Oak Springs Drive.

Reckless Driving: A driver was following vehicles closely on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:47 p.m.
