San Anselmo Police: Tires Slashed, Coke Thrown, Man in Bushes

Monday, Nov. 21

Disturbing the Peace: A woman reported that she woke up to a very loud fight and multiple subjects screaming on Ross Avenue at 2:31 a.m. Officers contacted a man who was yelling. He stated he was on the phone.

Sleeper: There was a subject sleeping in his car on Ross Avenue at 2:39 a.m.

Animal: Two dogs were running loose at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Belle Vista Avenue at 7:57 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: An unwanted subject was at a residence on Yolanda Drive causing a disturbance at 10:08 a.m.

Disturbance: A man was creating a disturbance by cursing and yelling on Red Hill Avenue at 12:05 a.m.

Vandalism: An officer took a report of vandalism at Lansdale and San Anselmo Avenues at 2:09 p.m.

Barking Dog: A resident reported a barking dog on Laurel Avenue at 2:24 p.m. It was quiet was the officer arrived.

Accident – No Injury: A resident reported a non-injury collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard a 3:12 p.m.

Narcotics: A resident reported a man acting strangely on San Anselmo Avenue at 4:40 p.m. Officers arrested two men for drug charges and they were booked into the county hail.

Suspicious Person: A man was drinking out of a paper bag on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:02 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unfamiliar man was standing on a wall on Karl Avenue at 6:34 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was trying to get into a resident’s rear gate on San Francisco Boulevard and was asking for a female name. Officers determined he was a process server.

Suspicious Vehicle: A man was sitting in a car at Hawthorne and Bennitt Avenues at 11:10 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

Animal: A dead deer was located on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Accident – No Injury: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, the car collided with the bumper of a car in front of it.

Sleeper: A man was sleeping in his car on San Rafael Avenue at 9:44 a.m.

Burglary: An officer took a burglary report on Meadowcroft Drive at 11:11 a.m.

Municipal Code Violation: There was a report of a leafblower on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:33 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A man wearing a white jumpsuit knocked on a resident’s door on Hawthorne Avenue at 2:07 p.m. stating he was with the electric company and needed to get into the backyard.

Vandalism: A car hit a tree in the front yard of a residence on Park Drive and someone took the tree.

Accident – Minor Injury: There was a car v. cyclist collision on San Anselmo Avenue at 4:17 p.m. and the cyclist was taken to the hospital.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man was knocking on doors on Butterfield Road, asking people if they were going to buy or sell their property. Officers confirmed he worked for a real estate agency.

Vandalism: A resident reported a smashed business window on Greenfield Avenue and he saw a man stumbling across the street at the same time. Officers confirmed the damage. The man was arrested for public intoxicated and resisting arrest, but it was unclear if he was responsible for the damage.

Juveniles: A resident reported she attempted to abate skateboarders at Saunders Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard earlier, but they ignored her.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

Suspicious Circumstances: A parked car had suspicious subjects inside it on Tomahawk Drive at 12:04 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: There was a suspicious car parking on Butterfield Road at 8:21 a.m. The driver said he was picking someone up.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported her ring was stolen, but it was located in her bedroom.

Municipal Code Violation: A leafblower was reported being used on Magnolia Avenue at 9:02 a.m.

Alarm: Officers and fire responded to an alarm on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:44 a.m. It was determined to be from a candle and the alarm was reset.

Sex Registrant: Officers registered a sex offender.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Cordone Avenue at 11 a.m., a subject was determined to be driving without a valid license. They were cited and released and the car was left legally parked.

Municipal Code Violation: A leafblower was reported being used on Austin Avenue at 1:43 p.m.

Reckless Driving: A resident reported a reckless driver on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:56 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was counseled and warned about his driving.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles was smoking on Center Boulevard at 2:12 p.m.

Reckless Driving: A reckless driver was reported on Center Boulevard at 2:26 p.m. Officers located and counseled the woman about her driving.

Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop on Sycamore Avenue at 3:53 p.m., a woman was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Reckless Driving: A resident reported a reckless driver who drove up onto the sidewalk at Center Boulevard and Saunders Avenue at 5:20 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An occupied car was parked in front of a neighbor’s residence on Arroyo Avenue and idling at 7:49 p.m.

Battery: A resident reported her ex-husband pushed her head into the doorjam of her car.

Thursday, Nov. 24

Disturbing the Peace: A subject was involved in a verbal dispute on Center Boulevard at 10:46 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two suspicious subjects were walking up and down Tunstead taking pictures. Officers determined they were visiting family from out of town.

Friday, Nov. 25

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that she heard footsteps outside her window on Lansdale Avenue at 12:26 a.m. It was possibly a raccoon

Petty Theft: An unlocked bike was stolen on Cedar Street.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unknown subject continues to leave items on the front porch while a resident and his family are on vacation.

Solicitor: Two juvenile solicitors came to a residence on Pastori Avenue in violation of the no soliciting sign.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious car parked facing the wrong direction on Bolinas Avenue at 4:50 p.m. with two men sitting inside it.

Petty Theft: Two bikes were stolen from a residence on Ross Avenue.

Animal: A resident reported that his neighbor’s dog bit his wife and his dog on Floribel Avenue.

Suspicious Person: A resident reported that he was driving down the road and saw a man hiding in the bushes at Bennit and Suffield Avenues.

Suspicious Circumstances: A liter of Coke was thrown at a resident’s front door on Tamalpais Avenue.

Noise: A resident could hear glass bottles nagging around the area of Lincoln Park.

Juveniles: There was a loud party at a residence at Woodside Drive and Butterfield Road at 11:49 p.m. and a group of juveniles urinated on a resident’s driveway.

Saturday, Nov. 26

Noise: There was a loud party on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:27 a.m.

Vandalism: Multiple resident’s tires were slashed on Laurel Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that her neighbor was shooting an air rifle from the sidewalk into the garage on Alder Avenue.

Noise: Juveniles were loitering and making noise on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:32 p.m. Officers located a small and quiet group.

Sunday, Nov. 27

Noise: There was loud music coming from a backyard on Redwood Road at 2:28 a.m.

Sleeper: A subject was sleeping in his car on Shaw Drive at 4:04 a.m.

Accident – No Injury: Officers located a car collision on Medway Road and a report was taken.

Vandalism: There was graffiti on a mailbox on Red Hill Avenue.
