San Anselmo Police: Toilet-Papering, Burglaries, Water Balloons

The following is a partial reporting of police calls from the from Nov. 11 to 13. The police logs are public record and can be found on the department's website.

Sunday, Nov. 13

Burglary: There was a residential burglary on Ancho Vista Avenue.

Vandalism: A house on Woodside Drive was toilet-papered.

Burglary Attempt: A woman attempted entry into a resident’s house on Alderney Road by opening a downstairs window. An officer located the subject and she was arrested for attempted burglary and booked into the county jail.

Petty Theft: An officer initiated activity on San Francisco Boulevard and a resident reported a theft of items.

Petty Theft: There is an ongoing theft of delivered packages on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard that occurred on Sunday and Thursday.

Disturbing the Peace: Two subjects wouldn’t leave a residence on Yolanda Drive at 5:46 p.m. Officers confirmed it was verbal only.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported she could hear very loud voice and then a subject screamed on Ancho Vista Avenue at 8:33 p.m. Officers contacted a grandmother and several juvenile females who were working on a project.

Repossessed Vehicle: A car was repossessed on Sunnyhills Drive.

Saturday, Nov. 12

Hit and Run: An officer took a report of a hit-and-run collision on Red Hill Avenue at 9:46 a.m.

Accident – No Injury: There was a non-injury collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:33 p.m.

Accident – No Injury: There was a non-injury collision on Red Hill Avenue at 5:38 p.m.

Accident – No Injury: A resident reported that he was involved in a traffic collision on San Anselmo Avenue at 6:37 p.m.

Burglary Attempt: An unknown subject attempted to gain entry to a residence on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard through a bathroom window sometime during the day.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was banging on the front door of a residence on San Francisco Boulevard at 8 p.m. and saying, “let me in.”

Vandalism: A subject in a passing car threw a melon at a resident’s car on Scenic Avenue, causing damage.

Burglary: A resident reported that her home had been burglarized on Suffield Avenue and a laptop commuter had been stolen.

Noise: There was a loud party on Laurel Avenue at 10:06 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Subjects were throwing water balloons at passing cars at Center Boulevard and Saunders Avenue at 10:34 p.m.

Noise: There was loud noise at a residence on Ancho Vista Avenue at 11:19 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 11

Possession of Marijuana: An officer located a car occupied by three subjects – two juveniles and one adult. After contacting the subjects, one of the juveniles was in possession of an alcoholic beverage and less than one ounce of marijuana. The juvenile was cited and released to his parent. The other juvenile was released to his parent and the third subject was abated.

Fire: There was a smell of something burning in a residence on Tamalpais Avenue at 7:55 a.m. Officers and fire determined there were no open flames.

Petty Theft: A resident reported that someone stole a jogging stroller Thursday or Friday.

Municipal Code Violation: A leafblower was in use on Magnolia Avenue at 9:08 a.m. Officers advised him of the ordinance.

Burglary: Someone entered a residence between Thursday and Friday morning on Berlin Avenue and took a purse and other items.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a solicitor on Suffield Avenue at 12:54 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a disturbance on Ross Avenue at 3:38 p.m. Officers determined it was a verbal argument between a father and daughter.

Vehicle Mishap: A car was stuck in the area of Veterans Plaza at Memorial Park at 5:03 p.m. Officers stood by while the car was removed.
