San Anselmo Police: Tow truck driving wildly, mountain lion spotted

Sunday, Sept. 19

Noise: There was loud live music coming from a residence on Foothill Road at 1:09 a.m.

Suspicious Person: A subject wanted police officers to drive him to his home in Sausalito at 3:33 a.m. Officers spoke to the man and he was told to call a cab.

Disturbance: A resident reported that her boyfriend kicked her on San Anselmo Avenue at 9:41 a.m. Officers determined that today's argument was regarding him having kicked the door tow days prior and that nothing physical had happened Sunday or Saturday. Both subjects agreed to stay separated.

Reckless Driving: A flatbed tow truck was seen weaving and tailgating and cutting off drivers on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:28 p.m. A resident tried to call the number on the truck, but was connected directly to the driver, who swore at him and disconnected.

Suspicious Circumstances: Four subjects were stealing cardboard from behind a business on Center Boulevard at 8:26 p.m. Officers contacted them and they hadn't taken anything yet.

Saturday, Sept. 18

Suspicious Person: Two suspicious subject on bikes were reported on Red Hill Avenue at 6:13 a.m. A man was cited and released for possession of marijuana and violation of probation.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:13 a.m., a man was cited and released for driving without a license. The car was released to a licensed driver.

Reckless Driving: Two cars were racing in the area of Red Hill Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:12 a.m.

Grand Theft: A bike was stolen from in front of a residence on Ross Avenue.

Vandalism: A resident on Rutherford Avenue reported that his neighbor vandalized his fence.

Petty Theft: There were subjects in a car stealing recyclables on Smith Lane at 9:37 p.m.

Animal: A mountain lion was seen at Kemp and Raymond Avenues at 10:01 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud group on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:38 p.m.
