San Anselmo Police: Vandalism, Drug Deal, Juvenile Out of Control

Thursday, July 14

Vandalism: There was graffiti on Ross Avenue.

Vandalism: There was graffiti on a residence on Woodside Drive.

Municipal Code Violation: A leaf blower was in use on San Rafael Avenue at 11:21 a.m., in violation of the municipal code.

Fraud: A resident reported fraudulent use of his identity.

Hit and Run: An officer was flagged down by a resident who was reporting a hit and run collision on San Anselmo Avenue at 12:09 p.m.

Hit and Run: A resident reported that her car was involved in a hit and run at Tunstead and San Anselmo Avenues.

Animal: A dog was locked in a car on Red Hill Avenue at 5:42 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident believed that an unauthorized subject was in the storage unit below the building on Sir Francis Drake Bouleavrd at 6:57 p.m. It was determined he was helping a friend.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported what he believed was a drug deal on Red Hill Avenue at 6:50 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace: A subject was on a resident’s property on San Francisco Boulevard, threatening him, at 7:55 p.m. He was counseled. The resident later called back to say the subject was back and taunting him.

Suspicious Vehicle: A car was parked on Avenue Del Norte and a resident didn’t recognize it.

Noise: A loud group was playing basketball on Ross Avenue at 11:47 p.m.

Wednesday, July 13

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Sais Avenue thought someone was in her yard at 1:32 a.m. because her cat was looking out the window strangely. Officer advised he was in the area and the cat was probably looking at him.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported glass breaking behind her residence on Mariposa Avenue at 4:13 a.m.

Animal: There were dogs off leash at Tamalpais and Raymond Avenues at 12:56 p.m.

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious person in front of a business on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:44 p.m. He was warned for soliciting.

Petty Theft: A resident’s wallet was stolen.

Trespassing: A resident reported a subject who had previously been warned for trespassing was back on the property on Center Boulevard at 6:49 p.m.

Juveniles: Juveniles were loitering on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:26 p.m.

Prowler: A woman reported that she thought a subject was in her residence on Woodland Avenue at 10:29 p.m. Officers determined there was no merit.

Traffic: The traffic signals on Red Hill Avenue were out, because of a power outage and transformer issue in San Rafael at 11:15 p.m. 

Tuesday, July 12

Family Disturbance: A resident reported her son was out of control on Hawthorne Avenue at 12:07 a.m. and believed he was intoxicated. Officers responded and found the juvenile initially took the phone from his mother, preventing her from calling the police. The juvenile was booked into Juvenile Hall.

Burglary: A window screen at a residence on Sunnyhills Drive was cut and a laptop was taken.

Warrant Arrest: Officers contacted a man who was determined to have two outstanding warrants in Marin County on San Anselmo Avenue at 1:08 p.m. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Vandalism: There was graffiti on a private parking sign on Ross Avenue at 5:32 p.m.

Animal: There were dogs running in the road on Sir Francis Drake Bouleavrd at 6:11 p.m.

Hit and Run: A resident’s car was hit while parked on Greenfield Avenue at 6:31 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud group on Ross Avenue at 10:29 p.m.

Noise: There was loud music on Yolanda Drive at 10:36 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An officer contacted a group on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:29 p.m. and they were abated.

Noise: There were two reports of a loud group on Sycamore Avenue at 11:32 p.m.

Animal: A deer was hit on San Francisco Boulevard.

Monday, July 11

Vandalism: There was graffiti on a garage door on Berkeley Avenue.

Fraud: A resident reported that she was a victim of fraud.

Reckless Driving: There was a reckless driver on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:29 a.m.

Vandalism: An officer took a report of vandalism on Meadowcroft Drive.

Burglary: A car window was smashed and items were taken on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Noise: There was a group being loud on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:56 p.m.
