San Anselmo 'Window Smash' Burglary Suspect Arrested

Suspect was wearing clothing that matched the description of a burglar captured on surveillance video at Bolinas Avenue Market.

Police responding to reports of multiple "window smash' burglaries in downtown San Anselmo early Monday morning arrested a suspect tied to at least one heist, authorities said.

A Central Marin Police Authority officer who noticed the window smashed in an apparent burglary of Bolinas Avenue Market at 4 Bolinas Avenue at 3:42 a.m., Sgt. Julie Gorwood said.

A 42-year-old suspect was located near the intersection of College and Kent Avenues in Kentfield, Gorwood said.

The suspect was found to be in possession of property taken from the store and was wearing clothing that matched the description of the burglar captured on surveillance video, Gorwood said.

The suspect, identified by the Marin County Sheriff's Office website as Angel Miguel Parra of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a probation violation.

Parra was booked into county jail.
