A bike that was stolen on Sunday, from in front of , was located after a man led police to where the bike was stashed.
According to Det. Cpl. Julie Gorwood, video of the bike being taken from in front of Walgreens Sunday afternoon showed Doug Shumate.
Monday around 6 p.m., officers observed a man in the area of Walgreens who appeared to match the description taken from the video of the bike being stolen. According to Gorwood, officers contacted the man.

Shumate, 50, of San Anselmo, admitted to the officers he stole the bike and led the officers to where the bike was hidden, according to police.
Shumate was arrested and booked into the county jail on charges of possession of stolen property.
