Suspected San Rafael Flasher Arrested After Downtown Chase

The suspect has had at least six other cases filed against him in the last six years according to a Marin Independent Journal report.

San Rafael Police Department officers on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of exposing himself and masturbating in public on a busy downtown street during the evening rush hour, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Marlen Charles Corben, 31, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, indecent exposure and resisting arrest, the report said.

The alleged incident occurred on Third Street near Grand Avenue according to the report. A woman who witnessed the alleged incident reported it to police.

A man matching the suspect's description shortly afterwards was spotted nearby ran away from police, the report said.

The pursuit ended with the suspect's arrest on Fourth Street near Lincoln Avenue according to the report.

Corben was treated for a cut mouth that occurred during the arrest, the report said.

He has had at least six cases filed against him according to the report.
