Water Main Breaks on Tamalpais Road in Fairfax

Service was restored this morning to an estimated 100 to 150 households.

 

Marin Municipal Water District crews worked late on Christmas night to repair a broken water main in Fairfax, while an estimated 100 to 150 Fairfax households went without water, according to district spokesperson Libby Pischel.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, officials had estimated 300 to 400 people were without water service.

The break, at 175 Tamalpais Road, was first reported on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Police closed part of the road while repairs were made.
