It's unusual to see a Marin firefighter out of uniform - and especially in pink.

 

Many people love a firefighter in uniform – but what about a firefighter donning pink? 

This week, all professional firefighters in Marin will wear pink t-shirts while on duty to help support breast cancer fundraising and research.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One in 8 American women and 1 in 1,000 American men will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives. It’s estimated that more than 2 million people are diagnosed with breast cancer and fight for their lives each year.
