The Marin County Sheriff's Office and the National Park Service are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman in her 20s or 30s off Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in west Marin Thursday morning.
Marin County Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Giannini said crews responded to the report around 9:45 a.m. and the investigation was turned over to the sheriff's office.
The body was found east of the intersection of Sir Francis Drake and Platform Bridge Rd., and therefore east of Olema and west of Samuel P. Taylor State Park, according to John Dell'Osso, a spokesperson for the National Park Service, which manages the Golden Gate National Recreation Area lands in that area.
Marin County coroner's office Lt. Keith Boyd said the National Park Service is investigating the death.
