The Fairfax Tree Committee meets to review applications for tree removals and trimmings the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairfax Women's Club on Park Road. All meetings are open to the public and tree removal applications can be found on the Town of Fairfax website.
The Tree Committee is comprised of one member each from the Parks and Recreation, Planning and Open Space committees and the Town Council. The committee is responsible for upholdingd Ordinance No. 387, to preserve the wide variety of local native trees and to protect the benefits they provide the citizens, both environmentally and aesthetically.
