Town Council meets tonight at 7 p.m.

The Fairfax Town Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the Women's Club. On the agenda:

  • Appoint member of the Planning Commission.
  • Authorization of general fund bonds.
  • Adoption of ordinance combining Design Review Board and Planning Commission.
  • Declaration of 39 Wood Lane as a public nuisance and abatement of nuisance.
  • Consider using funds to purchase video equipment to broadcast town council meetings.
  • Discussion of "parklets," parking spaces that are turned into temporary sidewalks.
  • Adoption of resolution objecting to military detentions.
  • Appoint a subcommittee to work with neighbors on a pedestrian bridge connecting Hawthorne Court to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
