Libraries, Schools and Town Offices Closed

Use our business column, , to learn about what businesses, grocery stores and restaurants are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

All schools in San Anselmo and Fairfax are off the week between Christmas and New Year's. and had their last day of classes on Dec. 16 and will return to school on Jan. 4.

Both San Anselmo and Fairfax Town Hall are closed starting Friday, Dec. 23 and will reopen on Jan. 3. Town staff is using vacation days during this time.

Both libraries, however are open during the holidays.

holiday hours:

Tuesday, Dec. 27: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 28: noon to 8 p.m.
Thursday-Friday, Dec. 29-30:  10 a.m to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 31: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Closed: on Saturday, Dec. 24; Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2. The library is always closed on Sunday, which includes Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Saturday, Dec. 25: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 29: regular hours 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 31: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Closed: Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2. The library is regularly closed Friday and Sundays, which includes Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
