Ross Valley residents have dug into their pocketbooks this election cycle, donating nearly $92,000 to Congressional and national campaigns, according to a new campaign finance database put together by Huffington Post.

In San Anselmo, $72,002 was donated in the current election cycle with 81% of those donations leaning Democratic. And in Fairfax, just $19,756 was donated to a variety of causes with 69% of it going to Democractic candidates or political funds.

With the Ross Valley being relatively working class, it's no shock that no one person donated more than $5,000 -- small change compared to some towns where investors donated tens of thousands. James Redford topped the list with a $5,000 donation to the Obama Victory Fund 2012.
